A Perfect Weekend

We had a wonderfully lazy weekend...finally! On Friday, me and Addi took another LONG nap and then ran a couple of errands. Later that afternoon, Whitney came and visited us! We had a great time talking and she tried to get Addi to walk some towards her. Whitney has the most adorable baby bump ever. I can't wait to meet Cade!

That night we went to Cantina Laredo for dinner with some of our friends! The scariest thing happened at dinner. I gave Addi a chip to snack on when we sat down, the next thing I know she is coughing really hard and turning red, so I started to pat her on the back and she was still coughing, then she threw up a massive amount. I was so worried about her that I just quickly put the throw up in a napkin then scooped her out of her high chair and hugged her for awhile. Of course, I was on the verge of tears because Addi has never thrown up that much, but she just started smiling at me. Ha! After that, we had a delicious dinner and then me and Whitney went to go see Eclipse! It was just as good the second time around! Here is Addi in her festive Mexican dress!

On Saturday, Josh was very sweet and let me sleep in since Addi had gotten up a couple of times the night before. I slept till 9:30, then went back to sleep during Addi's morning nap! We took a family nap and it was the best. We were all cuddled up listening to the rain, it was perfect. :)
We got up and got ready to go eat lunch at Milford Track!!! As soon as we were about to walk out the door it just opened up and started pouring! We decided to wait a bit and let most of it pass.

We had a DELICIOUS lunch. It's been far too long since we've been there! We definitely missed it.

We came back home and were happy to see Scott, Jeanette, Jonathon and Amber waiting at our front door with our new loveseat! Us girls (minus Addi because she was needing ANOTHER nap) went to TJ Maxx! I had a gift card and found a super cute khaki linen shift dress that is perfect for summer and will be a good layering dress for fall! When we got home, Addi was still asleep and I was feeling tired so I went and took a little nap too. Look at how sweet she is!

I finally had to wake Addi up at 5:45 to get ready for dinner. I guess she's going through another growth spurt, that's why she's so sleepy. Addi LOVED Jonathon! She just kept crawling over to him so he would hold her. Ha!

We went to eat dinner at Maddie's Place. Addi was perfectly happy eating all the saltines that were on the table. Of course she flirted with everyone in the restaurant, but the funniest thing happened. Our waitress came by to ask if we were doing okay and Addi at that moment was double fisting the saltines. She shoved them in her mouth then reached her arms up to the waitress so she would hold her! We cracked up! They walked over to the kitchen and said hi to everyone back there.

When we got home I gave Addi a bath and got her ready for bed, while Josh and Kyle went to rent a movie!

After I got Addi to sleep, we watched Book of Eli and ate way to much candy. The movie was VERY good! We loved it, it's a little rough, but it has a really surprising twist at the end!

On Sunday, Addi slept in till 9! We got around and went to church and heard a great sermon. After church, we came home and I got Addi down for a nap and Josh went to go get lunch. We had Whole Hog, soooo good! The boys watched the World Cup final that afternoon while I started cleaning.

I figured I had enough of a break. Ha! Even though it took me almost all afternoon/evening to finish cleaning there is nothing more satisfying than going to bed and knowing your house is clean!

Hope all of you had a great weekend!

Mega Everything

Gosh, I can't believe the week is almost over! It's gone by so quickly. I can't wait for this weekend, we have absolutely NOTHING to do and I couldn't be happier! We're going to eat brunch at Milford Track which we haven't done in over a month, hit up TJ Maxx and do some yard work. And I'm going to see Eclipse again! Perfect. :)
Well, today was supposed to be my "errands day." That really didn't go as planned. Although Addi slept through the night last night, I woke up extremely tired. When it was time for her morning nap, me and Addi may or may not have taken a three hour nap together. Whoops! Ha! It was wonderful although I had to rush to get us ready and out the door for lunch.
We met up with Mur, Emma, Resa and Skip-ma at Brown's. If your not familiar with Brown's, it's a ginormous buffet filled with all sorts of Southern delicacies. I tried to feed Addi bites of everything, but she wasn't interested. All she wanted was for Skip-ma to hold her.

The funniest thing happened while we were there. Addi was staring at this little boy who was going through the buffet, my guess is he was probably 6. Well, he notices that Addi is staring and starts raising his eyebrows at her ala John Belushi in Animal House! We cracked up! I wish I would have gotten a picture of him!
After we ate the girls took Addi to the little gift shop that's in the restaurant which gave us a chance to talk without having to constantly entertain Addi. It was nice. I also found this in the gift shop!

We parted ways and headed home. For the rest of the afternoon we just played. Addi is saying "momma" constantly! It's so sweet! She was just saying it when she was upset, but now it's just a stream of her crawling up to me wanting to show me something, wanting me to pick her up or wanting to read a book.

Josh went golfing after work so I had to put Addi to bed by myself! I was really nervous at first thinking oh man, there is no way she's falling asleep this early, but she did!! Yay! Oh! And Addi has another tooth! She now has two fangs. She's a baby vampire. Ha! Hope y'all had a great day!

Playdate and Bite Night!

Whew! Me and Addi have a had a BUSY day! Sister girl went down for bed tonight without a fight, she is worn out. We had a playdate this morning at the Wonder Place with our playgroup. I tried so hard to get Addi to take an early nap, but she didn't want to miss out on anything!

There were so many kids there, it was really crazy for awhile, then it calmed down. Addi had fun playing in the baby area with the other babies!

I just LOVE our playgroup. I had a great time talking to everyone and Addi had a great time playing! Poor thing was passed out by the time we left the parking lot.

I decided to go ahead and do a quick Kroger trip since we were out of EVERYTHING. Milk, bread, baby food, wipes, you name it, we don't got it! So it wasn't exactly a "quick" trip, but Addi slept the entire time!
We got home and I started to work on my upside down peach apple pie. Treece and her brother just started a supper club and tonight was our first dinner! I had dessert and I've been wanting to try this recipe for awhile.

I realize it's not the prettiest pie as my brutally honest dear and loving husband pointed out, but man it tasted AWESOME!!! What you do is at the bottom of a pie plate you pour melted butter and brown sugar, then you lay down your first pie crust, then you put your filling (mine was peaches, apples with cinnamon and sugar) then you place your second pie crust over the top and bake for about an hour. After it cools you invert it onto a plate and ta-dah! Upside down peach apple pie! The crust develops a DEEP carmely flavor that is to die for!
Anyways, so while that cooled, I distracted myself by playing with Addi so I wouldn't be tempted by the pie.

We went to Treece and Noah's for our supper club dinner that evening. Treece decorated so cute! She made poppyseed chicken and rice, we brought dessert and rolls, Chad and Alisha brought mashed potatoes and these really good cream cheese new potatoes. Josh T. brought raw asparagus....ha! Everything was delicious!

It was so much fun. The next one is at our house and the theme is Italian! I'm so excited!!! Tomorrow is our errands day (yuck), but we are taking a little break in between to eat lunch with Mur! Hope y'all had a good day!

Lizard Inc.

So this morning I was doing laundry when out of the corner of my eye something darts out beside me. I look down (actually first I gasped something fierce) and saw it was a teeny little lizard! Surprisingly, I'm not afraid of lizards, I think they are kinda cute.

I brought Dixie in there to see what she would do, but she kept trying to run away because she thought she was in trouble. Yesterday I beat the tar out of her for peeing on Addi's new rug. Anyways, so I moved the box to try and shoo him out the doggy door but he darted into the kitchen and has since disappeared!
Addi was in such a great mood when she woke up from her nap. I kept saying, "cheese!" and she would give me the biggest grin! I think she knows now to smile if I bring out the camera.

Will someone please tell me that their living room looks the same? Geez!

After all the laundry was finished...

We headed to Searcy!!!

Our first stop was Hay's. Grandpa met us there and watched Addi for me while I shopped. They found this super cute chair and I found a great pair of jeans and a cute razorback tshirt!

After we got done shopping, we headed out to the house to swim. Addi was a little tired at this point and threw a fit when she couldn't get to the cat who was laying outside the door.

Addi LOVED the water this time! She was even trying to dunk herself. It was the craziest thing, she would try to stick her face in the water and then splash her arms around. Rhen and me were cracking up!

We headed home after swimming and Addi slept the whole way. For dinner we went with Treece, Noah, and Kyle to 5 guys. We LOVE that place.

Addi was a toot all through dinner. She even spilled a whole drink in my lap while I was holding her. It startled her because it was so cold so she started crying! My pants were SOAKED. Josh finally got her calm and she was entertained by this book for awhile.

When we got home the boys went downstairs to talk about fantasy football (ridiculously early I know) and me and Treece watched season 2 of Laguna Beach. It's the best ever.
It did take us forever to get Addi down tonight. It took me 3 tries, Treece tried once and then Josh tried a total of 3 and was the one that finally got her down. Sheesh! Oh and over the monitor we would hear Addi saying, "momma, momma, MAMMMAMMMAMAAAMMMA!!!!!" It was very very sweet. The boys even said she was saying, "mommy" at one point. Melts my heart!
Hope y'all had a great day!

The Day after Independence Day

Did anyone else not realize how important the day after fourth of july is? Ha! I had no idea that UAMS and government offices would be closed. Josh got to sleep in this morning and although the school was closed, he had some work to do up at the lab. During Addi's morning nap, I laid back down and napped while she did! When she woke up we got ready and went and ate lunch with Josh.

During lunch, this guy at the table next to us complimented Addi on how well behaved she was. Literally thirty seconds after he said that Addi started yelling at us for more crunchies. We just laughed.
After lunch I ran to Hancock's to check out their sales. I got a really good deal on Christmas fabric. I know it's early, but it was a really good deal! I also got some new patterns for Addi's clothes too.

When I got home the boys were helping Addi play with her new toys.

We had a great evening, now we are watching Real Housewives!!! Hope y'all had a great day.
