Our Weekend!

Friday
We hung out with our playgroup again! This time it was for lunch at Chickfila and delicious fro-yo at Orange Leaf. Momma bear came out at CFA, there were two boys, probably age 10 and 8 that were literally wresting all around and up in the play place. First, they were way to old to be in there, two, there were small kids (like Addi) that they kept knocking into, three, their parents weren't doing anything about it. Grr!!! They definitley got the stank eye and a stern, "be careful around my baby" talk. THEN, some older girl who had laid down her instruction sheet for her toy (trash) pushed Addi for picking it up. Uh-uh. Not up in here. Nothing boils my blood faster than stuff like that. We left very quickly after that. It wasn't a good day for CFA. Haha. I really need to get a thicker mom skin.

Anyways, Orange Leaf was amazing as always. Addi hated mine, because I got toppings, but she ate half of Leslie's. Haha!

Friday night was Nichole's bachelorette party. FUN TIMES!!!!!
They said to do a ganster pose and I look like I'm posing for a book sleeve picture.

Me and the bride to be!

Saturday

Mur and Granddad were in town, so we went and ate lunch at Mimi's! Addi was crazy, and at one point begged a server to pick her up. Which she did. It is getting really hard to take her out to eat. She's so busy and friendly she just wants to go see everything and everyone in the restaurant. Mercy!

That night, I made chicken spaghetti for dinner and we got a visit from Cassie! Josh is so sick of chicken spaghetti. Haha. I just love it so much, but I doubt we will be having it anytime soon!

Sunday

In the nursery on Sunday, Addi got bit on the finger by a little boy. Apparently, Addi was going down this slide and Hudson was coming up and there was tension, and
Addi stuck her hand out and Hudson bit her. They came and got me during church to let me know since she was bleeding. She wasn't upset when I went in there, but they said she had avoided the slide since. Despite me freaking out about other things, this didn't bother me hardly at all. The little boy was Addi's age and probably didn't know better. What bothers me is the older kids that know better and still push and kick and hit.
Good thing chocolate makes everything better.

After her nap, Addi was being so silly. She loves to walk around in our shoes.

I hope y'all don't think I'm an uptight freak of a mom. I am just protective almost to a fault of Addi. She's my baby. :)

Hope y'all had a great weekend!!!

Thursday Playdate

I feel like I haven't blogged in forever, so forgive me for flooding your reader with all my catch up posts!!!

On Thursday, we went to our good friend, Krystal's house for a little playdate! Addi's bestie, Harper lives there and they were very happy to see each other!

I made these pizza roll thingies that turned out really good. Here is where I found the recipe. I made the pepperoni ones, but you could do your favorite pizza toppings. My next ones will be buffalo ranch chicken. Mmmmm...

Lily had an important call to take.

Sweet girls!

Brittan has become our resident photographer, which is nice because I get a pic of me and Addi at every playgroup.

Mama Hollie!

Lil Nancy!

Nancy and Addi.

I got the bright idea to give Addi a big spoonful of Nutella when we got home. I figured she ate maybe two bites of a snack while we were there, so I wanted to fill her little belly. She LOVES nutella, and it was so very messy.

After a big cleanup, we played outside for approximately 3 minutes before being eaten alive by mosquitoes. I bought a fogger and spray so we can enjoy our yard again. I'm hoping it works!

All in all, it was such a fun day. I love our playgroup!

Addi-20 Months

Where has my baby gone?! I mean, I know she hasn't been a baby for awhile, but this month has just blown me away with how she is growing and learning!

Addi you are talking more and more everyday. Here are some things you are saying:

-you can count...somewhat. We start off with 1, and you say 2, 4, 6! Haha!
-Nigh Nigh
-Hi!-you say Hi to everyone you see when we are at Target, Hobby Lobby, wherever, you are so friendly!
-Bye!-you say bye about 20 times when we are leaving, and you make sure to tell everyone bye. :)
-You can identify Pa-pa and Daddy in pictures.
-You can say everyone's name, except for Lila's! Although, you did kind of say her name Sunday. I think "L's" are hard for you so it came out "E-ya."
-Moo Moo and Pap Pap are your cow and paci.
-You have started trying to spell your name. When your wearing a monogrammed shirt, we say, "A-d-d-i-s-o-n!" "Addison!" You get the A and the d out, but you point to each of the letters.
-Everything is "hot". You are very sensitive to heat so baths are very cool and your food has to be almost cold or you will say "ot!"
-You have started to say, "Coooolddd" when something is cold. It's very drawn out. :)

Yo-yo=yogurt
Mermaids=strawberries (no clue, but that's what it sounds like)
Wa-wa=waffle
Nack=snack (and you run to the fridge)
Chik Chik=chicken
Fry
Most foods she can repeat.

Funny Things:
-you sing to your babies and put them to bed.
-Elmo is your FAVORITE right now. Anything that has Elmo, you point it out.
-You have started to point out the little mouse on the pages of Goodnight Moon. It amazes us, because we have trouble finding where it is sometimes, and you usually beat us to it!

-Coloring is your favorite pastime right now. You can identify blue and purple.

Behavior has definitely been an issue this month. You have hit Dixie a couple of times and you laugh when you do it. Then you say "no-no". So I think you know that's bad, and I say no, we have to be sweet to Dixie and then you pet her. Thankfully, you haven't hit anyBODY yet.

Tantrums are in full force. Usually you are easily distracted, but sometimes I'll pick you up from coloring to go change your diaper, and it's a total meltdown. I've tried time outs and little swats, but you just get so angry when I take you away from something you are enjoying.

It's hard to take you out to eat, because you are so busy and after 10 minutes your ready to get out and play. We blame ourselves because at dinner, we let you get out of your high chair when your done eating and play.

You've gotten a little bossy lately too. :) You get on to Dixie quite frequently which is hilarious, because you tell her "no-no" and shake your finger. Cue, the going back to we need to be sweet to Dixie. Poor Dixie. :)

Sharing has come up this past week. You have taken away a couple of toys and crayons from people. You know you have to share because you say, "share" then a minute later you'll do it again, but you'll look at me when you do it to test my reaction. You are your father's daughter Addi. Always testing the boundaries! :)

You are SUCH a joy and the light of our lives. We love you so much. I love this stage because you are communicating with us and we are starting to understand each other when we speak. I just love that. I pray we both have patience for what's to come!

Parks and Lemonade

Tuesday, we headed to Allsop park with our playdate. It is already SO hot and it's only going to get hotter. I am so excited it's summer though.

Addi was a mess last night. She had colored all over herself, luckily in washable markers, but she was wild. She didn't go to bed again till about midnight, which means she got really crazy!

Today, we took Ashton back to Searcy and on the way we stopped at Chickfila. I got a diet lemonade and it was incredible!!!! A large is only 30 calories and it doesn't taste like diet at all. I actually had two today! Oops. I really need to get a recipe for it so I don't go broke buying them everyday. :) We ended up swimming again for a little while. I can tell we are going to be making a trip to Searcy once a week to swim!

Hope y'all had a great day!

Memorial Day Weekend Part 2

Sunday night, Addi didn't go to bed till close to midnight. She was so hyper and past that point of being tired so it took her awhile to wind down. She was making us laugh so hard, because she would sing and put her babies to bed. So sweet.

Monday morning, when we finally all got up, Addi was dressed festively in her patriotic outfit.

We headed to Searcy to swim and cook out!

Addi took a LONG nap and was still pretty cranky when she woke up. Luckily, there were plenty of kids there for her to play with.

We had such a spread for dinner. Scott smoked a pork shoulder and so we had, pulled pork sandwiches, grilled Caribbean jerk chicken, grilled corn on the cob, salad, plus two kinds of homemade ice cream. I also made Pioneer Woman's chocolate sheet cake. It was definitely our cheat day for our diets. Everything was SOOO good. I'm sad this is the only picture I got. Haha, I was too busy chowing down.

Ashton came and has stayed with us a few days. We have really enjoyed having her! She is such a big help and so good with Addi.

Hope y'all had a great weekend!

Memorial Day Weekend Part 1

This week has been a busy one, so I haven't had time to catch up on blog posts, so there are a couple coming up. :) We had a FABULOUS weekend! We won a golf/hotel gift certificate at the Chocolate Ball and we had planned to go this weekend. Originally, we had my aunt watching Addi, but that fell through so we decided to take her! She looked like such a prepster before we left.

We left Saturday morning for Branson and on the way we stopped at Coursey's for lunch. It's this delicious smokehouse and we had smoked turkey and cheese sandwiches that were SO good. We dropped the guys off at the golf course then headed to the Landing to do some shopping.

Addi was such a good girl while shopping. Once we got to the hotel, we hung out for a bit before going to get the guys for dinner. We found out our hotel had a sweet shoppe in it! Everything looked so good! Addi kept saying "cupcake!" Ha!

Raring to go!

Landry's for dinner. SO good.

Someone was not wanting to sit still during dinner so we had to take turns entertaining her. It's getting harder and harder to take her out to restaurants.
She's so busy!

This was the coolest hotel. At night, they show a movie down at the pool for all the kids. They were showing How to Train Your Dragon. Addi wasn't too interested in the movie, but she LOVED the pool! She screamed when we got her out.

We all slept so good that night, including Addi. She gets so worn out when she swims. :) Sunday morning, Jeanette and I had spa appointments! I was most excited about this! I got a massage and a facial and both were so wonderful. Josh and his dad took Addi swimming again while we were there. In the sauna area, I started chatting with this girl who looked about my age. Somehow, we got talking about the SEC and we both hate LSU. Haha! Such a common bond. :) We ate a yummy brunch then headed home.

Fresh peaches from a roadside stand are the BEST!!!

Thanks for bearing with me, part two is up next!
