A Long Over Due Update

Wow, last week kicked my booty. I don't know what it was, but the energy literally drained from my body and it was just a chore to get out of bed in the mornings! I also caught a bug Saturday night, so I've been on the mend all day. I have a tried and true cure that works for me. If it's just a cold, I drink as much OJ as possible and sleep as much as possible. I felt like crud this morning, but tonight I feel 90% better. I am so thankful Josh watched Addi and basically let me sleep all day. Haha!

Here is what we were up to last week and this weekend!

Monday-Wednesday

On Monday, I went and got some new makeup. Very fun.
Monday night, we ate dinner at Big Orange with Papa and Lila. Walking back to the car, we walked by Warren's and noticed they were having a huge sale. I saw these boots and loved them! Josh went back that night and got them for me and had the box AND a chocolate milkshake waiting on the table after I put Addi down. SO SO sweet!!!!
Tuesday, I took Addi to go see Beauty and the Beast! She really enjoyed it, but got a little restless about halfway through. There were only two other people in the theater and they had a child, so I let her walk around some.
We brush Belle everyday with this brush, because she sheds so much. Dixie doesn't shed, but Addi thought it was hilarious to brush her. Dixie did NOT like that and snapped at her about mid way on the third brush.
On Thursday, we had some friends over for a delicious Mexican themed playdate! So fun. Here is Lily and Addi enjoying some YUM rolo brownie bites made by Lily's momma.
I really thought this would make Addi take a nap, but sadly she didn't. Sister hasn't had a nap in weeks!!!!
On Friday, we went with some twitter and blog friends to a church that had a really neat cafe and indoor playground all in one. We had a blast talking and the kids had so much fun playing. Here is the precious Sadie-lady!
Addi got stuck up in the play area so I had to go get her unstuck. Sweet Niki decided this was an opportune time to snap some pics. ;)
The girls just went crazy over sweet Sadie!
Sadie and sweet Amelia.

For dinner on Friday night, I made us buffalo chicken tacos. OH my word. These were delish!!! The kitchen was a wreck afterwards, but so worth it. Here is where I got the recipe.
Addi enjoyed her yogurt. ;)
Saturday was the day of three birthday parties. We were WORN out when the day was over. Here is Addi at the first bday party, Addy N.'s! It was owl themed and everything turned out so cute!
Addi talks about this girl constantly! I wish she lived closer. :)
Passed out, on the way to the second bday party.
Miss Eliot's 1st birthday! Hollie decorated everything just so perfect and it was precious. The theme was pink and grey, and the kids got to decorate cupcakes. So fun!

A smooch for Eli!!!
Cheryll and little Autumn.
A quick glimpse of the birthday girl!

On our way to the THIRD birthday party!!! Janelle's face cracks me up.
Addi was such a ham at dinner. She was around some of her favorite people, so she really showed out! :)
She said, "Oh my goodness!" We died.
Chocolate mess!!!
Scaling the wall.
Tickling!

What a fun weekend! I'm glad next weekend we don't have any plans! :)

Hope y'all had a good one!

SUYL:What you make or Sell!

Today I am linking up with Kelly at Kelly's Korner for her Show Us Your Life series. I just love when Kelly does this, because it's so neat to go look at all the different stores and such! I have a small business and I do embroidered and appliqued custom children's clothing. I just posted about my one year anniversary of being in the business. I LOVE what I do, and it's so fun to dress your children for their special days, like birthdays or holidays. Here are some examples of my work. You can visit me on etsy, or email me at adeichhorn@hotmail.com if you would like a custom outfit! Happy Shopping!

Thanks for looking!!!

One Year Anniversary!

I cannot believe it's been a year since I made my first sale. Well, actually, the official date was January 15th, so I'm a few days late. Anyways, when I first opened up my "shop", I was really just expecting to have a few orders a month, and mostly from friends. Never did I DREAM that just one year later, I would have made almost 600 sales and shipped to other countries. That blows my mind. It's been a big adjustment for our family, let me tell you. I feel like I'm just now getting into a groove of balancing homekeeping, Addi, our marriage and my business. There have been a few bumps along the way, as with any new venture goes. I am so SO incredibly thankful for the support from Josh, our family and friends. And my fabulous customers!!! I really love what I do and it brings me so much happiness to have something outside of being a momma. It's fun to be my own boss and set my own hours, even though I'm a pretty tough boss. ;) Thankfully, my body has adjusted to the late hours. Haha! And it's a good thing I love coffee. :)

I just wanted to say THANK YOU so much for being supportive of Pumpkin Butter Kids and to show you my thanks, I'm offering a little discount code!!! Just enter, THANKYOU in the checkout part of my etsy shop, and you will receive 20% off your entire order. So, thank you!!!! I'm very excited to see what this year holds!!!

Mommy Makeover

Time for another Mommy Makeover post! I haven't lost any weight since last week, but I haven't gained any either. I kinda fell off the wagon for a couple days (mostly the weekend) and didn't work out that much. I need to get back on track!

I do have a quick beauty tip for y'all! I know you have probably seen the baking soda facial on Pinterest. Well, I tried it and it works! It is a little stingy when you are rubbing it in, so don't be alarmed. It really brightened up my skin, and even though I exfoliate pretty regularly, this was a heavy duty exfoliator. I recommend it! All you do is make a paste out of baking soda and water and massage it on your face for about 3-5 minutes.

I'm thinking baking soda is my cure all for most everything around the house!

How is your progress going?

I Need a New Name for These Posts...

It's time for another weekend recap! On Friday, Addi and I paid a visit to Jump Zone! I was surprised at Addi's reaction when we got there. She was kinda scared to go play without me. So unlike her, but we haven't been to a jump place in months, so I think she got overwhelmed. Oh well! It gave me an excuse to slide with her! Haha!
After awhile, she got over the newness and did her own thing. She found a pack of older girls to run with too.
This was the Superman jump jump. It's like an obstacle course and then a huge slide. I was SO out of breath going in and out. As pretty much the only adult playing, kids just flocked and wanted me to slide with them and carry them up the slide. I worked up a sweat! Silly Lily! Her momma took much better pictures than my phone!
Friday night spaghetti! And we also made chocolate chip cookies. And watched a movie. So nice.
On Saturday, Josh made the BEST waffles! Seriously, they were legit. We stayed in pj's for most of the day. I got a lot of orders done and Josh and Addi had some quality time together. :) I took this picture of Addi in the car and it cracks me up. She was watching Tangled and just had her little hand resting under her chin. Haha!
My friend Sarah, designed this stationary for me! I love it! I do believe she is opening a shop soon, so go check her out! She is also one of my favorite blogs to read.
At church this morning, we had a young man get baptized! We got all the kids out of children's church so they could watch (which I think is so neat) and Addi was so worried about him! The baptistery is up high and she was scared he was going to fall. Sweet girl.

We had a monsoon come through tonight! I'm beginning to worry we aren't going to have much of a winter. We had tornado warnings tonight, so strange! I wore this huge coat to dinner and rain boots and Josh asked me how my journey at sea was. Haha!
I just can't wait to show y'all the Easter and spring stuff I have in the works! Here is a little sneak peek!
Hope y'all had a great weekend!!!
