Monday Craziness

So I'm sitting here, just ran out of stabilizer, so no more working for me tonight. Why not blog? Haha. Today was an adventure. I can't tell if Addi is just coming into the "terrible two's" or if she just doesn't feel good because she's cutting teeth. Anyways, let's just say she threw the mother of all fits today in Target. She wanted to get down and run, but she would try and run away so I tried to put her back in the cart and she did that go limp move then arched her back and just SCREAMED. Oh my word. I was so embarrassed and luckily we were the only ones in the kid's department so we didn't get any of "those" looks. We got out of there pretty quickly, but I think our days of running errands may be over for awhile. My nerves just can't handle it.

I did have a healthy and DELICIOUS breakfast today that I wanted to share with y'all. It's strawberry low fat yogurt, berries, low fat granola, almonds, honey and cinnamon. It was seriously good and only about 200 calories!

I put Addi's hair in pigtails today and I just LOVE these! She pulled them out after a couple of pictures. :(

Here are a couple of things I've been working on.

And here is my fav Addi picture.

We are having a fun play date over here tommorrrow so I better get to bed!

Hope y'all had a great day!

Our Weekend

This weekend had a bumpy start, but quickly improved! Friday night, we stuffed ourselves with pizza then went to bed ridiculously early. It was perfect and much needed. Saturday morning, me and Addi headed to Searcy pretty early. Jeanette did my hair and Scott wanted to watch Addi while we were at the salon. They had so much fun! I think Addi's favorite person right now is her Grandpa. She gets SO excited and happy when she sees him, and when he is around, she only wants him to hold her. It is so sweet. She calls him "pa-pa" too!

Jeanette worked SO hard on my hair and I absolutely adore it! She lightened my base up quite a bit AND did a Brazilian blowout! My hair is so silky and shiny and apparently I can just let it air dry and it will be frizz-free and I will only have to go over it a little with the flat iron. Thanks J! I love it!

Saturday night, we went and ate yummy Mexican food with Uncles' Carson, Kyle and Keith. Plus Josh too of course. Addi loved all the attention, but got pretty interested in this Chik-Fil-A toy.

Here is a picture of Addi from this morning, she may look sweet in her little smocked dress, but she was a little toot today. She is cutting FOUR teeth right now and doesn't feel good, bless her heart. When we tried to drop her off in the nursery this morning, she was so shy and clingy, we just hated to leave her since she's never like that. We took her to one of the "cry" rooms off to the side and listened to church from in there.

After church, Addi was SO sleepy, so Josh went and picked up McAlister's and I fed Addi lunch real quick and tried to lay her down for a nap. She was not having it! I finally just gave up and took her shopping with me. We went to the mall to get some new makeup and Target! Addi did great in Target, but was not a happy camper in the mall, so we made it a quick trip.

Here is a picture of my new hair!

And here is a crazy picture of me and my girl's who didn't want to take a picture.

Hope y'all had a great weekend!

It's Been Awhile...

Hey everyone! Sorry for the blogging hiatus, it's been one crazy week around here. I thought I would just summarize our week in little points.

We went to the park on Tuesday for our first official play date with my new play group I started! We had a blast despite it being really chilly. Addi was a big fan of the brownies.

On Wednesday, we ran some errands. We got our squeaky shoes in that I ordered last week and Addi adores them. She was running all over the house just to listen to them. I might tape down the squeaker when were in public. Haha.

We also got these little strawberry cake things at Walmart. They are only 100 calories and they are pretty good! Addi liked them and she's not a big fan of cake or frosting.

Thursday we didn't do a whole lot. Addi decided she wanted to try and walk in my shoes. Hilarious until she screamed because she was so frustrated they wouldn't stay on.

I stayed up way to late on Thursday night working on orders. My little shop has really been busy here lately and I am so happy. I love creating these clothes so much and when other people buy them it just brings me such joy. So thank you. :)

So that brings us to today. I will be honest, today was one of the worst days I've ever had. I know that sounds dramatic, and there could be much worse things to happen, but today was truly a challenge. I don't know how many times I prayed for Satan to get away from me, or how many times I prayed for patience. To start off, Addi threw my phone in the toilet last night and now it's done. Frustrating, but not THAT big of a deal. This morning however, Addi was in one of the worst moods of her life. In fact, this is the worst behaved she has ever been. I felt so bad for her because she's cutting teeth right now (2 more just came in today!) but at the same time it's really hard to keep it together when she is literally screaming and throwing fits. She was a lot better after I gave her some Tylenol, so we've been keeping her on that most of the day. After her nap she was much more pleasant also. We went to her 18 month checkup this afternoon and we found out that Addi has a slight heart murmur. I am crying while I write this because Addi has always been perfectly healthy, and the doctor reassured me over and over that it really wasn't that big of a deal, but it terrifies me. This week I found out that one of the doctors I used to work for just found out that his baby girl has a rare and very dangerous genetic disease and there aren't many treatment options available. Devastating and truly heartbreaking news. I know that Satan was playing on my emotions and causing fear to overtake me since I found out about that baby. Just wondering if that was going to happen to Addi or one of our future children. And then today, I just had to constantly push it away. And not that those things compare AT ALL, I'm just saying I was already being overly worried and sensitive. On a lighter note about the heart murmur, our doctor truly was not that worried about it. He saw me start to tear up and he said, "I probably shouldn't have told you that, it's really not that big of a deal." I just had to laugh...and then cry. He also told me that Addi has another issue that we are treating at the moment. I'm not going to say what it is, because it's kinda TMI, but it was just another thing to fear. He was also concerned that with a couple weeks of medicine it would be resolved. Anyways, so of course I'm freaking out about these things he has just told me and I had NO means to call and talk to Josh. Josh is my voice of reason and a constant calming force. Anytime I get worried or nervous, Josh "talks me down from the ledge." I sent him an email when I got home and told him what the doc told me, then put I'M ABOUT TO HAVE A NERVOUS BREAKDOWN. Halfway joking. :) He quickly responded with, I'm about to come home. Josh has been insanely busy too so it really meant a lot that he left work to come home and be with me. Such a good husband. Anyways, so now I am good, I realize that worse things could be wrong and I just have to remind myself not to let fear control me, which is hard.

To anyone still reading, I applaud you for making it through that rambling and depressing paragraph. You deserve an award.

Now onto some happier pictures.

If you're wondering why I put that last picture in, it's because Josh asked if there was anything I needed while he went out to get Addi's medicine, I wrote back, a extra large cheese pizza. Halfway joking since we are on diets, but I think he knew I needed this! Haha.

Hope y'all had a great week and a great weekend!

Our Weekend

So me and Addi have been on our own this weekend, Josh went skiing with his dad and grandpa and Kyle in Colorado. I am so ready for him to get back! Not only do I miss him, but it's hard being the only parent! Haha. On Friday, Addi was very hard to put down for bed. Everytime I would leave the room, she would SCREAM and throw her cow on the ground. I would go back in, hand her the cow and then leave. Well this went on for an hour until she finally just gave in. Oh me, it exhausted both of us! That night, I went to work on orders! I don't think I've shown y'all this onesie and shirt yet, but it has been ordered like crazy. You can go here to order one!

Saturday morning, Addi slept till 10! I was so happy to sleep in with her! After breakfast, we colored some.

Then we went and got lunch at Chik Fil A. I didn't think Addi would take a nap since she slept so late, but she took a good nap that afternoon. After she woke up, we had a little photo shoot in the back yard. She did not move from that spot the entire time we were out there! I think she was afraid of getting dirty.

I asked her to smile, this is the face she does now. Hilarious.

We came back in and Addi had a slumber party in her crib with ALL of her stuffed animals. She was LOVING it!!!

Addi went down without a fight Saturday night, so maybe Friday night was just a fluke. I sure hope so. Today, we went to the Rhea Lana sale in North Little Rock. We went right when it opened and so the line almost wrapped around the building. It was pretty crazy inside, but we came out with some CUTE summer stuff.

I have been scouring ebay for a fourth of July smocked dress, so I flipped when I saw this one for $10!!!!!

And probably my most favorite outfit!!!

And let me just say the weather here lately has been AMAZING!!! I can't wait till summer. I know by July I will be wishing it was winter because it gets so hot, but right now I'm ready for the lazy days of summer and grilling and swimming! Yay!

Hope y'all had a great weekend!!!

SUYL: Alma Maters

Today is show us your life over on Kelly's Korner, and I thought I would tell y'all a little about mine since I don't think I've ever talked about it!

It may come as a surprise to some, but I hold a bachelor's in History and a minor in Bible from Harding University. I started out as Early Childhood Education, but after my second year I just hated the classes. I feel bad saying that, but it just didn't feel "right". I LOVED my History classes that I was taking on the side, and just decided to switch over to being a History major. My original plan was to get my master's after college, but I just never got around to taking the GRE and after I graduated, I kinda got a sick feeling anytime I thought about writing a thesis. So...I decided to take a year off and just work. I had never actually had a job at this point and we had just moved to Little Rock and Josh had just started med school. I guess the longer I was away, the more I realized I didn't want to go to more school. I knew that all I wanted to do was become a mom, so we decided that it would be best if I worked until Josh started grad school. Sometimes, I wish I would have majored in Family and Consumer Science, because that would be infinity times more useful, but I honestly love History. I know it's incredibly boring to most, but I just love it! My favorite is Southern History. Mostly because I love the South so much.

Harding was a great school and I never thought I would say this, but I miss chapel and Bible classes. After going to a private high school and then a Christian college, I was a little burn out on Bible classes after I graduated. We had to take one every semester, and in my case sometimes two. But, now I really miss it! We had to go to chapel every morning and it was just 20 minutes of devotional time, I remember thinking I can't wait till I graduate and don't have to go to chapel anymore. Hahaha
Anyways, so here are some pics of us during our undergrad years!

I know, not a TON of pics, but most of our pics during college are actually printed out and I'm too lazy to scan them. And yes, that last picture is of Dixie!!! Wasn't she such a cute little puppy!

So where did y'all go to school?

What I'm Loving Wednesday

I'm Loving the little break I got today. I sent Addi to stay with her Grandpa and Lila last night and me and Josh went on a little date to Bonefish. We both stayed within our diets and still ate good. I got a lot done today and I was so happy to see Addi this afternoon! I really missed her!

I'm Loving that I get to shop at Rhea Lana's, which is a children's consignment sale on Saturday. I cosigned a bunch of stuff today so hopefully I will make some money. I saw some of the cutest little summer outfits too.

I'm Loving that our good friend's Whitney and Andrew are down here for a couple of days! We went and ate dinner with them tonight and we are hanging out again tomorrow night. I think we are going to Canon Grill for dinner. It's my weakness so I'm doing the shred twice tomorrow so I won't go over my calories. :)

I'm Loving the Lose it app on the iphone. It's very similar to Weight Watchers, only it's free. You basically tell the app how much weight you want to lose and then it sets your calorie budget for the day. It's very easy to track what you eat and so far it's going pretty good.

I'm Loving that Addi feels the need to have two drinks available at all times. I think she wishes she could go stay at her grandparents house more often!

Hope y'all had a great day!!!

Valentine's Day 2011

This morning, we had several of Addi's friends over for a fun little Valentine's play date. There was supposed to be a fun and cute craft, but I totally forgot to get that together, and I also forgot cute little Valentine's plates and napkins. Sorry guys. But, the food was great! We had Pioneer Woman's breakfast casserole, monkey bread, sausage balls (Addi ate 6) and fruit.

Addi showed off her Valentine's Day outfit before our guests arrived.

She kept pulling her pettiskirt up. So funny.

Yummy food.

Addi was LOVING this little girl today. Her name is Ali and she is the best big sister. Addi just loved her.

Addi got her first sucker today. She absolutely loved it, thank you Lily!

Speaking of Lily, this little girl has a big announcement over on her momma's blog. She is going to be a big sister soon!

We all had a great time! Thanks everyone for coming over!

Addi didn't want to nap for some reason, i think she was too wound up to sleep! So we went and ran errands. She LOVES to go through the diaper bag and go through my wallet.

Josh had these roses delivered this evening. They are gorgeous! They also came with a little bear for Addi and a box of chocolates! He is the best!

We had some friends over for dinner tonight. I made cherry glazed pork loin, roasted potatoes and roasted asparagus. We had strawberry frozen yogurt for dessert. Simple and delicious!

Nandini brought Addi a balloon and she was in heaven! Haha!

Hope y'all had a great Valentine's!
