Playdate and Bite Night!

Whew! Me and Addi have a had a BUSY day! Sister girl went down for bed tonight without a fight, she is worn out. We had a playdate this morning at the Wonder Place with our playgroup. I tried so hard to get Addi to take an early nap, but she didn't want to miss out on anything!

There were so many kids there, it was really crazy for awhile, then it calmed down. Addi had fun playing in the baby area with the other babies!






I just LOVE our playgroup. I had a great time talking to everyone and Addi had a great time playing! Poor thing was passed out by the time we left the parking lot.

I decided to go ahead and do a quick Kroger trip since we were out of EVERYTHING. Milk, bread, baby food, wipes, you name it, we don't got it! So it wasn't exactly a "quick" trip, but Addi slept the entire time!
We got home and I started to work on my upside down peach apple pie. Treece and her brother just started a supper club and tonight was our first dinner! I had dessert and I've been wanting to try this recipe for awhile.



I realize it's not the prettiest pie as my brutally honest dear and loving husband pointed out, but man it tasted AWESOME!!! What you do is at the bottom of a pie plate you pour melted butter and brown sugar, then you lay down your first pie crust, then you put your filling (mine was peaches, apples with cinnamon and sugar) then you place your second pie crust over the top and bake for about an hour. After it cools you invert it onto a plate and ta-dah! Upside down peach apple pie! The crust develops a DEEP carmely flavor that is to die for!
Anyways, so while that cooled, I distracted myself by playing with Addi so I wouldn't be tempted by the pie.


We went to Treece and Noah's for our supper club dinner that evening. Treece decorated so cute! She made poppyseed chicken and rice, we brought dessert and rolls, Chad and Alisha brought mashed potatoes and these really good cream cheese new potatoes. Josh T. brought raw asparagus....ha! Everything was delicious!






It was so much fun. The next one is at our house and the theme is Italian! I'm so excited!!! Tomorrow is our errands day (yuck), but we are taking a little break in between to eat lunch with Mur! Hope y'all had a good day!
