St. Patrick's Day!

We had such a fun filled day yesterday! We started off our day by heading over to our friend Cheryll's house for a St. Patrick's Day playdate! There was fun times had by all!








Oh and I REALLY need one of these papasan chairs!!! Addi loved it!

Addi spent a lot of her time at Cheryll's trying to stand and dance on her coffee table. Worried me on every count imaginable!!!

So you can sorta see what Addi's outfit looked like. She was a busy little girl yesterday so I didn't get a real good picture of it, but I think it turned out cute. The pants also go with the sweet tweet little bird shirt too.

When we got home, Addi laid down for a much needed nap. I spent the rest of the afternoon getting ready for our St. Patrick's Day party we were having that night. Josh decided he was going to make his own corned beef and do corned beef sandwiches and he also wanted to do pastrami. He had been brining the brisket for a week and from what everyone said, it was awesome!!! I tried it, but it's just not my thing. Josh, if your reading this, I'm sorry I didn't like it! Haha. I think he got his feelings hurt a little bit when I only tried a little of it and almost gagged.




And then...Addi did one of the funniest things I have ever seen. Lately, she has been wanting to walk around wearing our shoes. She's gotten pretty good at it, but I just wear flats all the time. One of the girl's last night had these heels on and Addi decided she MUST try them out. Haha! She walks better in heels than I do!




We were so impressed how well she could walk in them, and she was SOOO proud of herself too! We were all laughing so hard.

Oh! I had to show y'all this real quick! This is my new favorite dress right now. It is for sale over in the ole etsy shop if your interested.


This weekend is going to be very low-key and relaxing. I feel like we have been so busy lately, so I'm looking forward to doing nothing!

Best Day!

Yesterday, two of Addi's favorite people came into town from the dusty city of College Station, Texas. Addi was immediately bashful when she saw Michael, but quickly warmed up.

I'm telling you, she had the time of her life yesterday with these two!

Today, we met up with our play group at a local pottery painting place! Our original plan was to go to the zoo, but it was super cold this morning and kinda overcast. Addi did wonderful for the first 15 minutes we were there. She just sat in the high chair and ate her snacks.

Then, she was OVER it!!! She wanted to get down and run around and play with all the stamps and stencils!

Her and sweet Lola shared some snacks, and had fun playing.

Afterwards, we headed to Chikfila for some lunch! The kids had a lot of fun playing until Addi got stuck up in the play place and then when Brittan finally coaxed her down the slide, Addi face planted and then we left. :)



I thought since Addi was so tired, she would be out fast when I laid her down for a nap, but no, she wanted to play with Aunt Rhen and Uncle "Bubble". Haha! She dubbed Michael "Bubble" while he was here. This evening, we went and ate dinner with Mur, the two Emma's and Resa. We had so much fun, but Addi was a TOOT all through dinner. Oh my word, we were ready to get out of there! Haha. Addi also went to her grandparent's house this evening. She loves her grandpa SO very much and was very happy to see him! I'm hoping I can get a lot done tomorrow!

A Baby Shower/Playdate!

On Friday, Addi and I hosted a small little baby shower/playdate for one of our good friends Krystal! She is due to have Baby Hayes next week and I can't wait to meet her! I made a quiche for the first time and it turned out pretty good! I think if you have enough cream, cheese and bacon, you just can't go wrong! And I used phyllo dough instead of a regular pie crust.

Addi FINALLY ate a cupcake! She just really has not been that into them, but that day she definitely was!

Addi decided to take a break and blog about how the playdate was going.

After everyone left, Addi helped me clean up. Oh how I wish that vacuum was real!

Josh and Addi went to Texarkana that evening to visit with his grandparents. I stayed behind to work! It's crazy how busy I've been lately!!! I did get a lot done, and I'm glad they are back! When I saw Addi it seemed like she had grown a lot since Friday. Do y'all ever feel that way when your kids leave?
