Homecoming Weekend Part 2

Saturday, we slept in a little bit since Addi had a late night. Once we got up and ready, we headed to Searcy! But, first we stopped at Starbucks. Momma needed one of these!

It's a peppermint white mocha. I start drinking these at the start of the holiday season. I love the red cups!

Our first stop in Searcy was Landon and Cassie's apartment. Sherrill(Landon's sister) was in town for Homecoming with her sweet and adorable daughter Annalise! Addi was still a little tired I think, because she threw a mini fit when Annalise "borrowed" one of her toys. We had a good talk on sharing and how sweet and nice girls share. :)

Going through the diaper bag, Addi's favorite pastime.

Addi and Cassie.

Annalise likes to be "whooshed"! Haha!

Don't you love Annalise's coat? So cute!

Thanks for a great time girl's!!!

Addi and I grabbed a quick lunch and headed out to see Lila! Addi's other boyfriend, Brooks, was out there too! Brook's grandma is neighbor's with Addi's grandpa and Lila. Brooks isn't real sure about Addi. Haha!

I made Addi's "homecoming dress". It's a little small, so we might turn it into a shirt.

Our plan was to go to the actual game, but Addi had a different idea. She desperately needed a nap so we headed to Mur's hotel and got Addi a good nap in. By the time she woke up, the game was over. Haha! So much for my plans! When Addi saw Granddad it was like she remembered how he takes her anywhere she wants to go, and so she just cheesed and reached for him. Of course, they took off and walked around to wherever Addi wanted to go. After awhile, Granddad needed a break so we sat down at the little coffee place in the hotel. Mur was holding Addi and we had been going over names a little bit before. Well, Addi said what sounded very much like Granddad and reached out to him! We couldn't believe it!!! So cute. We went to Who Dat's for dinner with Skipper and Emma and Emma's friend. They have the best cajun food!

When we got home, Addi was ready for bed. I laid her down and she fell asleep pretty quick. I accidentally woke her up and so she would not go back to sleep for anything! I decided just to let her play until she got tired again.

The call was for the dolphin, obviously.

Addi slept great that night! I am so happy, we both needed it!

Okay, I have one more part and that will wrap up the weekend!!!

Homecoming Weekend Part 1

Since I have a TON of pics, I thought I would break it up into two posts! We have had a great weekend so far! It's been crazy and busy but we have had SO much fun. We both miss Josh and are ready for him to come home! He's been having fun in Charlotte with his Dad and Noah. :)

On Friday morning, Addi and I went over to Sarah and Weston's! Sarah needed some blog help and the kids haven't seen each other in awhile, so we thought it was about time!

Sweet Weston

This face cracks me up!

Addi crawled into this cabinet by herself, and then stayed there for a little bit!

We wanted to get a pic of both of them. If you didn't know, it's pretty hard to get two toddlers to sit still!

Thanks Sarah and Weston for letting us come over and play!

After we left their house, we picked up some lunch and headed over to Josh's lab. Josh left for Charlotte Friday afternoon and he wanted to see Addi one more time before he left. So sweet!!!

Oh and I'm pretty sure whenever I said,"Ooo I'm going to get a picture of y'all real quick!" they BOTH rolled their eyes. Ha!

Friday night, Janelle and Hadley came over to play! They were in town for Homecoming and I'm so glad they came to visit us!!! Both of the girl's hadn't napped all day, so we were kinda worried that there would be multiple meltdowns and such, but I have to brag on both of them and say they were so great! I think they had a great time playing together! Addi was so worn out by the end of the night, she fell asleep before I turned off the light. Haha!

What I hope is a hug.

Taking a break in the cow chair.

Hadley taking a break.

The girl's had a blast with this box! I really don't want to get rid of it!

Addi "chasing" Hadley.

Hilarious!

Did I mention they were tired? Ha!

Addi went to bed very easy Friday night, but she had her usual midnight wakeup and didn't go back to bed till 1:30. Thankfully, she slept till 9:30 the next morning! Little stinker!

Playdates and Sleepless Nights

Hey everyone! So for some reason, Addi has decided that the hours between midnight and 2 a.m. is a great time to wakeup and play! We have been taking turns getting up with her so that helps, but I am worn out! It wouldn't be so bad if she would just go back to sleep, but it takes her forever to go back down. I'm really not sure if she's teething because she hasn't been fussy at all, so maybe she just misses us and wants to say hi! Ha!

In other news, we just got a new carseat for Addi! We decided to go with the Britax Marathon. I originally had picked out a neutral beige color and then when I sent the link to Josh it sent him the cowprint, so that's what he ordered! It turned out really cute so am glad we got that one.

Addi has LOVED playing in this box more than any toy she has ever had. She likes to crawl in and play peekaboo.

Happy girl!

Today we went to a playdate at Rock Creek Church. This church is so huge they have an indoor play place. We had lots of fun!

Josh is leaving for North Carolina tomorrow and me and Addi have a big weekend! We are going to Harding's Homecoming Saturday and we have a couple more fun things planned. I really hope she sleeps good so I have the energy to keep up!

Hope y'all had a great day!!!

My Perfect Thanksgiving Dinner

Thanksgiving is my second favorite holiday, next to Christmas. They are both pretty tied to be honest. With Thanksgiving, you are coming together as a family, there is no stress for presents, you just get to be with the ones you love and EAT. For me and Josh, we have four Thanksgivings to go to. We are full for days afterwards! Haha! So here is what I need for the PERFECT Thanksgiving dinner.

1. Deep fried turkey. Has to be fried! For years, my family didn't do turkey, we did a ham. It wasn't until a couple of years ago I found out the turkey is actually a Northern tradition that migrated to the South. Josh's family does turkey, his grandma roasts one and his dad fries one. So yum!

2. Ham. Haha! At my Mimi's Thanksgiving, we do ham. At my other grandparent's T-giving, they do both!

3. Sweet Potato Casserole.

4. Mashed Potatoes.

5. Butternut squash casserole. Josh's grandma makes this and it is so good. I need to ask her for the recipe!

6. Green Bean Casserole.

7. Corn Casserole.

8. Dressing. My uncle makes the BEST dressing in the whole world. I could eat it by the plate. His is like a wild rice type stuffing also.

9. Rolls. King's Hawaiian please!

10. Pie!!! (Pumpkin, pecan, chocolate, apple and Avril's cherry crunch!)

What are y'alls favorite Thanksgiving foods?

Hello November!

I cannot believe today is November 1st. Where did October go? Don't get me wrong, I LOVE November!!! It is like the gateway to all things merry and bright. And then there is Thanksgiving, my second favorite holiday! It's also getting colder, finally, and it is wonderful!
Today we had a fun day with Mia! She spent the night last night and we got to hang out all day! I absolutely adore this outfit of Addi's. I got it at Hay's in Searcy.

We decided our first stop would be Izzy's for lunch. It was so good! Addi was a little rambunctious, but thankfully we haven't had any tantrums like that one day at Panera. :)

After lunch, we headed to Sam's to do a little bulk shopping. I love Sam's so much. And as a bonus, Addi sat in the cart the entire time! She also cheesed at anyone that would look at her. Haha!

After Sam's, we headed to HunkaPie for a little mid afternoon snack. Also, I had gotten an email saying they were doing free samples of their holiday pies. Here is where the afternoon started crumbling. First, my GPS that is out to get me, was misleading and we ended up in downtown LR, rather than downtown NLR. I get extremely angry if I am lost, especially if it's the GPS's fault. So I called Josh to give me directions, I do this quite a bit. :) Anyways, so he thought I was in NLR instead of downtown and lead me towards the Rivermarket. Grrr... anyways, so we finally get to Hunkapie to find out they are closed. I was so stressed out and didn't want to drive anymore, but I knew I had to get us home. We then took the wrong way to get home and got so turned around I resorted to using the GPS again and it finally got us home. Mia said, "Ash, about 90% of the time you're really laid back, but that 10% that you wig out, I get kinda scared." Haha!!! I'm sorry Mia!!! We ended up laughing about it and went to Starbucks instead. Thankfully Addi was asleep through that whole ordeal. :)

Tonight Addi was being so silly! She was holding this case up to her ear and talking on it like a phone. It was cracking me up.

The forecast for tomorrow is supposed to be rainy and chilly! I think naps are definitely in order!

Hope y'all had a great day!!!
