Wedding Weekend Part 1

So Josh's mom got married this weekend, and we had a blast with all of his family that came into town! On Friday afternoon, we headed up to Searcy and our first stop was a kid's consignment sale. Thank you Josh for stopping! Haha. Kyle stayed in the car with Addi, and Josh even came in to help me pick out stuff. We found a couple of things for Addi, but it was the last day of the sale so a lot of it had been picked over. Here is what we got.

We headed to the hotel after that to meet up with everyone and swim and eat pizza!

After our swim, we headed to Froyo to get some frozen yogurt. Addi was soooo tired at this point, but she was loving that Kaylie was giving her bites of frozen yogurt. That is until Addi got a brain freeze!

She was not happy! Poor little thing! We went back to the hotel after that little incident. This was also Addi's first time in a hotel!

That night Addi was cracking us up because she would hold the phone to her hear and yell and then hand it to Josh. So cute!

We finally got Addi to bed around 11, and she slept pretty good that night, and woke up around 9 on Saturday.

To be continued!

The Pros and Cons of being Productive

Today we had a very productive day! I am halfway through with my to-do list! The other half is just cleaning, I just like to write down each room so I can cross it off. I really like crossing things off. I honestly don't know why I decided to do everything today. I just get in a zone sometimes and go crazy. The bad thing is about these spurts of energy is I am exhausted by the end of the day. Addi has been helping me a lot actually. She is back to sleeping 13 hours a night so that is a HUGE help. Also, we made a lot of stops today to collect auction items for the golf tournament and no one could say no to that precious face. I'm telling you, this child may have a career in PR or fundraising.

She also had a blast playing in my cookie cutter drawer. She made a big mess, but she actually put a couple of the cutters back!

I'm still struggling to find her grown up food to eat that she actually likes. Lately, her routine is to eat a waffle in the morning with yogurt and fruit, but for lunch she just nibbles at whatever I try and give her. Yesterday it was grilled cheese, today was a pb&j. I need some tips from moms out there!

The rest of the day we were in the car running errands. Addi likes to watch Finding Nemo while we drive places. It's a good thing I LOVE that movie too, because I hear it a lot! :)

After Josh got home from work, he windexed our glass doors, Addi and Dixie were enthralled with what he was doing!

Hope y'all had a great day!!!

Exhausted and Delirious!

If this post is really random and weird, I'm sorry. I'm so sleepy and tired that I just want to do a quick post, watch some Shark Week and go to bed! Last night, Addi didn't sleep very good and me and Josh are pretty exhausted! We are trying to wean her off of baby food and so we've been giving her more solid grown up food. She's been showing a strong interest anyways, and we just feel like it's time. It's hard to tell if Addi is getting enough now, because with the jars of baby food I always knew how many she ate in a day. With the solid food, it seems like she eats a lot but then I find half of it in her high chair. Josh said, "she'll let you know if she's still hungry." Well she did! Last night in fact! Sister woke up at 1 and drank almost 8 oz. of formula and then didn't go back to sleep until 3:30. She was far too interested in pulling our hair than to sleep. Ha! So today, I made sure she ate like every 1 1/2 hours and gave her plenty of formula and even gave her an extra sippy cup of whole milk. I am hoping we will all get a good night's rest, because all three of us need it!

Now enough complaining! Here are some sweet pics I got of Addi yesterday and today. She is growing up so fast, we can hardly believe it. Lately, when we say a word, she will try and say it back. Usually she only gets out the first syllable, but we are impressed nonetheless! Also, we started a new game with her that cracks us up. We'll come up behind her and say, "I'm gonna getcha!" and she will take off crawling and just laugh hysterically! It's so much fun. She is also waving more at people. Her wave though is more of her just holding her hand up. She has also discovered how fun it is to yell! Today we went and ate lunch with Josh at his work and we ate in this atrium that has a bunch of tables. Well, Addi thought it would be so much fun to yell at all the people sitting around and it magnified her voice so much! We got kinda embarrassed and ate real quick then left, because she was so loud! I told Josh, I think our days of going out to restaurants with her might be dying down!

I know this one is really blurry, but I really like it!

This is after Dixie and Addi got into some goldfish. They used team work to get the package open!

Happy Tuesday!!!

Weekend with Friends

We had an amazing weekend!! On Friday, Josh celebrated being an official phd. candidate by sleeping in till noon. :) It was fun to eat lunch with him at the house. Of course, Dixie and Addi are the scavengers and wanted what he was eating!

Friday night, Scott and J came and watched Addi while me and Josh went on a date night!

We went to the Butcher Shop for dinner. It was AMAZING! We ate entirely way too much. I think we both had a great time not having to worry about keeping Addi entertained or giving her snacks throughout the meal! Then we went to see Inception. It was INCREDIBLE!!! I highly recommend that everyone watch it. It's so intense and mind boggling, but in a good way! After the movie, we talked about it till we went to bed. Then it was the first thing we talked about in the morning. Ha! We grabbed some ice cream after the movie, I'm obsessed right now with Maggie Moo's pistachio ice cream with chopped almonds. Soo good!

Addi went on a little date with Grandpa and Lila too! They took her to The Pantry and apparently she really liked the bread there. I don't think Addi missed us too much! Thanks for letting us get out!

Saturday morning, we had doughnuts and coffee. Addi loved the little glazed donut holes. After her morning nap, we headed to Searcy for Whitney's graduation lunch! Addi had a blast playing with Eden.

We ran a couple of errands after lunch and then headed out to Scott's house.

Sweet friends Hannah and Whitney came out!

Addi wore herself out again swimming! She was so exhausted by bedtime! For dinner, Josh grilled steaks and shrimp, and we also had salad and baked potatoes. It was so good!!!

Hadley and Addi also had a ton of fun playing together. The loved jumping on the couch and playing with the watermelon.

Addi went to bed pretty easy after dinner and we had a great time visiting with everyone. Rhen and Hadley had a great time too playing on the couch.

We were sad to see everyone leave! I am proud to say that Addi slept through the night without a peep and we had to wake her up at 8:30! She was apparently not ready to get up though, because after her bottle and a little play time she was ready to take a nap! We were just lazy most of Sunday and when we got home, Josh thought it would be a good time to start organizing our drawers and closets. Boooo. It didn't last long, because he saw the extent of chaos that is our storage spaces and decided to leave it be. Yay! And in other good news, tonight was the start of Shark Week!!! I love love love this week, I'm obsessed with sharks and LOVE anything about them. I'm also deathly afraid of sharks, so these shows give me slight panic attacks too! Ha! Hope y'all had a great weekend!
Go see Inception and tune into Shark Week!
