Today we had a very productive day! I am halfway through with my to-do list! The other half is just cleaning, I just like to write down each room so I can cross it off. I really like crossing things off. I honestly don't know why I decided to do everything today. I just get in a zone sometimes and go crazy. The bad thing is about these spurts of energy is I am exhausted by the end of the day. Addi has been helping me a lot actually. She is back to sleeping 13 hours a night so that is a HUGE help. Also, we made a lot of stops today to collect auction items for the golf tournament and no one could say no to that precious face. I'm telling you, this child may have a career in PR or fundraising.
She also had a blast playing in my cookie cutter drawer. She made a big mess, but she actually put a couple of the cutters back!
I'm still struggling to find her grown up food to eat that she actually likes. Lately, her routine is to eat a waffle in the morning with yogurt and fruit, but for lunch she just nibbles at whatever I try and give her. Yesterday it was grilled cheese, today was a pb&j. I need some tips from moms out there!
The rest of the day we were in the car running errands. Addi likes to watch Finding Nemo while we drive places. It's a good thing I LOVE that movie too, because I hear it a lot! :)
After Josh got home from work, he windexed our glass doors, Addi and Dixie were enthralled with what he was doing!
Hope y'all had a great day!!!
Homecoming!

Thomas loves steamed broccoli and cauliflower... it's super easy to make and then I just freeze it and pull out what I need for each meal. Maybe that would work? Did you go to Rhea Lana's in Searcy today? I wasn't sure if you were going today, but I dropped by. It looked like they had some good things for baby girls. I didn't find much for Anna-Kate or Thomas but I got a bunch for Derek's sister. I usually do better with the LR sale at Mccain Mall!
ReplyDeleteI'll try that, she isn't a fan of green veggies, but maybe she'll like them! I'm going to Rhea Lana tomorrow. I'm not getting my hopes up too high, because I rack up at the LR ones! The one is west little rock is next week. You should come down and we can go to lunch and then shop till we drop! Haha!
ReplyDeleteHmmmm, I'm trying to remember what Lily ate back in those days, but it's sad 'n scary how much you can forget in a year! One of her favorite things right now is mini pizzas made with flattened jr. homestyle biscuits for the crust. Just add sauce and cheese and whatever else and cook according to biscuit directions. As long as you don't overcook, they're really soft, and I'm betting Addi could eat 'em just fine. And there's always mac 'n cheese (and I sneak little pieces of steamed cauliflower in there...because I'm mean...and she doesn't have a clue!) Breakfast favorites include sausage balls (freeze a big batch and thaw out one-by-one!), homemade muffins of any sort (they freeze well too!), mini cinnamon bagels with cream cheese, and blueberry pancakes without syrup (again, I'm mean).
ReplyDeleteI can't offer much advice, as I am most definitely not a mommy... I can, however, invite you to join my giveaway!! A monogrammed bow for your little one!

I've seen a lot of moms steam and puree veggies and then freeze them in ice cube trays. Then defrost as needed. I've also heard that too many choices can confuse babies. So maybe only offer one or two items? I'm not a mom though so that's just a best guess. She's adorable though.
