The Week So Far

It's been pretty busy around here lately, we've been getting ready for Mur and Granddad's big anniversary celebration this weekend. I can't wait to see what all Laura has put together, it's going to be amazing!
I'm lucky Addi does so well in the car, because I've felt like we've just been on the go so much lately. She loves being out and about and going into stores and seeing new faces. On Monday, Rhen was here so we went to go eat lunch with Josh! Addi always loves to go see her Daddy during the day. She did so good at lunch! I think it was because Josh held her until we got our food so while we ate, Addi ate her snacks. Usually we just set her down and by the time our food arrives, Addi is done and wants out of her highchair. It seems silly that we would not do it the other way, but sometimes you just have to find things out for yourself!

After lunch, we went to the mall to find Rhen a white dress to wear this weekend. Addi had lots of fun looking at herself in the mirrors, but then she pooped and it smelled so strong we actually had to leave. Addi was getting restless anyways, but seriously it was nasty!

Tuesday morning Addi tried cut up fresh peaches for the first time and loved them! I found several in her high chair so she didn't eat as many as I thought she had, but she still ate quite a bit!

Addi and I have a little routine in the mornings. After her breakfast, I set her on the floor and let her open this cabinet and play with my silicone baking pans while I unload the dishwasher or fold clothes. Addi found a metal baking pan and thoroughly enjoyed banging it against the floor!

After her morning nap, we headed to Searcy to run a couple of errands. Our first stop was to run by the hospital to see Skip-ma real quick!

Addi was looking pretty fabulous yesterday with her pink zebra dress and pink cheetah paci! Our next stop was to go by A Second Helping to pick up dinner! This is the neatest place, she has refrigerated casseroles that you go and pick up and then bake yourself. It's perfect for busy days! We had the manicotti and it was DELICIOUS!!! I'm going to have Skipper pick me up the enchiladas on Thursday!
We went out to Scott's house after that to drop off some fabric for Fran. I bought some gorgeous fabric last week and I'm a little scared to sew with it because it's more expensive than I usually buy and I'm terrified I'm going to mess it up, so I'm leaving it with the professional! Addi and Aunt Rhen had ALOT of fun playing! They had a game going where Rhen would toss her onto this big pile of pillows. Addi LOVED it! She was laughing so hard!

Addi got pretty tired after awhile.

We went home after that and I didn't have to think about what to make for dinner! Yay! Addi decided she didn't want to go to bed right at 7 last night so Kyle and Josh convinced me to bring her downstairs and they would play with her while I ran to the mall. When I came back Josh had gotten her down so it was nice to just sit and relax! While at the mall I picked up a little bday present for myself. Ha!

I love it! Josh said it looked like a 14 year old's phone. :(
Today I am going to try and tackle my to do list that has now reached two pages. Eek.

Just some videos

I wanted to post some videos of Addi lately for y'all to see. One is of her playing with Daddy's credit card, oh boy! One is of her taking steps(assisted) for the first time. One is me reading her peek a who, her favorite book. And one is of her eating the noodles! I need to start taking more videos, I realized there aren't many!
Happy Tuesday!

Tyler Weekend!

This past weekend, we went to Tyler, Texas for Josh's cousin Keri's graduation. I was a little worried about how Addi would do with the traveling and the sleeping, but she did great! Me and Skipper left Thursday afternoon around noon. I had held Addi off of her morning nap so she would sleep in the car, and she slept all the way to Texarkana! I fed her a bottle and some mangos in the car and we played till she got kinda restless. We were needing a bathroom break and some ice cream anyways so we pulled over at Braum's, one of the best little fast food places. It's so neat because they have little grocery stores inside of them, I wish there was one in Little Rock! Addi was happy to get out of the car and look around. We decided we were hungry also so we got cheeseburgers AND ice cream! Ha! I fed Addi some of my ice cream and she LOVED it, I think she got a brain freeze at one point, because she made the weirdest face and was pulling at her face. Whoops.

We got back in the car and about 30 minutes from Laura's house, Addi started to get a little restless. Luckily we had puffs and peek a who so Addi was okay.

We pulled up to Laura's house and I was AMAZED at how beautiful it was! To give you an idea of how grand this house is, we pulled up to a gate and then drove up to the house. It's incredible!

Anyways, Addi was so glad to get out of the car and we let her crawl around and burn off some energy while Laura gave us a tour. We have noticed lately that Addi LOVES boys. It's really funny, so she was all about Clint. She reached for him and just lit up when he came into the room, hilarious!

We are not ready to deal with that yet Addi! We went to eat dinner after that at this great Italian place. Addi was being a toot towards the end, but I couldn't blame her because I knew she was tired and just annoyed still with being in the car for that long! We went home and put her to bed. She did pretty good that night sleeping in her pack n' play, she only woke up once about 2 and then slept till 8:30. Laura was so hospitable and put a changing pad, rocker and a coffeemaker in our room.
On Friday, Skipper got her bridal pictures made! They are so beautiful and she had a lot of fun taking them. I got the privilege of driving a mule out to Laura's field and dropping Skipper off so her dress wouldn't get dirty. The photographer got some cute pics of me driving her out there too. We ate lunch at this cute place called Newk's that had sweet tea made with splenda! Where is this in Arkansas?!! That afternoon we just relaxed and waited on the other's to get there. Addi missed her afternoon nap so I put her down for bed at 6:30! She slept till 8:15 the next morning! Holy cow! I couldn't believe she slept that long, let alone in her pack n' play! The only bad thing was I woke up at 5:30 and didn't go back to sleep right away. :(
The next morning was Keri's graduation and me and Addi decided to stay behind since it was at her naptime and we had heard the traffic was going to be horrible. We met everybody later for lunch at this great Mexican restaurant.

When we got back from lunch we ate some cake and watched Keri open her presents. Then we went swimming!

Addi had fun, but she was ready for a nap. While she was asleep we had a lot of fun playing in the pool. When Addi woke up we went inside and gave her a little snack. Her hair was so crazy and we gave her a mohawk!

We started getting ready for dinner after that, and Addi wore her A&M dress for Rhen!

We had a great dinner at this Asian restaurant that was a lot like PF Chang's. I got this really yummy honey chicken and the most amazing fried rice EVER. That night we just hung out and visited. Addi didn't sleep so good that night, she woke up at 4:30 and then was awake for the day at 6:30. I had taken a zyrtec the night before and I was SO drowsy that I didn't know what was going on. Poor Josh took care of Addi until he left for church, we stayed behind because Addi was ready for a nap and I was in no shape to go anywhere. That will be the LAST time I take zyrtec! We ate lunch at TGIFriday's and then hit the road! Addi fell asleep pretty soon after we were in the car and slept for about 2 hours. We stopped at this little roadside market that sold lots of produce, preserves and homemade peach ice cream. It was so good, I almost forgot to save Josh a bite! We got some squash, tomatoes, green tomatoes, okra, new potatoes, and peaches. I even found a little jar of pumpkin butter! It smelled so good!

When we got to Texarkana, we decided Addi needed a little break. We went to Mur and Granddad's and Addi played with Sampson for awhile, she loved him, but I think he was a little scared of her! Rhen rode with us and Josh drove her car. She did such a great job keeping Addi entertained! We did have to pull out all stops at one point because she was so fussy. I let Addi have my "secret weapon", a magazine. I know it sounds weird but Addi loves to rip apart magazines and I don't see any harm in it so I let her have at it! Ha! She went to bed as soon as we got home and slept through the night! We've got a busy week ahead of us so I'm glad I got some sleep! Hope y'all had a good weekend!

Girl's Night Out!

This past Wednesday some of us girl's got together for a night out! I had so much fun and laughed a lot! We started out at one of my favorite restaurants, Yaya's Eurobistro. We had the most delicious bruschetta and yummy cocktails to start us off.

It was a fun dinner for sure and we all ate way too much!

After dinner we headed to the Rave to see Sex and the City 2! I have to say that I LOVED it! Ahhh it was so good. Hilarious and brought a tear to my eye at one point. They really need to put the show back on the air! I wonder if they will make a third one??? We all got outside after the movie and found out we were all wearing super cute shoes so we got a shoe picture!

Mine are the bejeweled thong sandals, LOVE em!
It was also a bittersweet night because this weekend Janelle is moving to Tulsa. I hope to see them this fall when we go on our Fayetteville trip. Anyways, we all had so much fun and we need to have more girl's nights!

We are in Tyler, Texas this weekend for Josh's cousin's graduation. Addi did amazing in the 5 hour car ride, has eaten well, played well and slept well so far! Sister girl slept almost 14 hours last night straight in her pack n' play! Gotta love her! Anyways, we are having a blast and I will do a mega post on Monday of our travels! Have a good weekend!

Adventures in TJ Maxx and a Fish Fry!

Me and Addi had a great day today! I was happy to have my camera back so I could take multiple pictures of my baby girl that all look mostly the same now I look at them! Ha!

Addi helping me unload the dishwasher.

She loves to look out the window and wave at all the cars!
After her nap we headed to Conway to meet Mia for lunch! We ate at one of our favorite places, Mike's Place! Of course we started the meal with these delicious shrimp and cheese fritters, they are soooo good!

Mia gave Addi a bottle once we got there and I think Addi fell in love with her right there! She is instant best friends with anyone who gives her food!

We gave Mia her VERY late birthday presents! Better late than never!

I got this yummy salad and Mia got wonderful shrimp bisque!

After we ate Mia tried to take a picture of me and Addi, but she didn't want to cooperate so this is the best we got!

We went outside and there was this cool fountain so we decided to have another photo shoot there! Addi was fascinated by the water and started giggling when I stuck her little feet in it!

We headed to TJMaxx after our fountain pictures. Once we got there, I had to pee so bad so I ran to the restroom. When I was coming out I nearly went into the men's room by accident! The way they have their bathrooms is very confusing and luckily I saw it before I walked in! Ha!
Addi had a great time shopping. She was waving at Mia and saying "hi!" It was so cute!!!

Addi was pretty worn out after shopping so we headed home. She took a good nap in the car on the way home and momma stopped and got a huge vanilla diet coke from Sonic! Addi and Dixie played some when we got home. Their "game" was Dixie would run under the couch and Addi would crawl and pull on her tail, then Dixie would run around her then run back under the couch. They had a good time.

Once Josh got home we started frying all that fish he caught on his trip. We made fried okra, potatoes and hushpuppies to go with it. Y'all it was seriously good!

Addi wasn't too sure about the hushpuppies!
I cleaned up the kitchen while Josh gave Addi a bath and got her ready for bed. We switch off sometimes, but usually we do both together. Tonight though Addi was pretty tired so we put her to bed early. I heard Josh reading to Addi in this really high pitched voice and I grabbed my camera and got part of it on tape! It was pretty hilarious!

We are watching Glee right now, which oddly enough is Josh's new favorite show! He cracks me up sometimes. Tomorrow we are shopping and running errands with Lila and then that night the girls are going to the movies!!! We are having a girl's night out to see Sex and the City 2 and eat some yummy dinner at Yaya's! I can't wait!
Hope y'all have a great day!

Memorial Day

Since Josh was gone fishing today, me and Addi had a pretty low key Memorial Day. Addi slept till 8:30 this morning which was AMAZING! We just played around downstairs till she was ready to nap. After her nap we went shopping! We went back to White House Black Market to exchange some shoes and I got a shirt that was on sale. Josh had my camera so I didn't get a picture of Addi and her festive Memorial Day flag dress. Our next stop was a fabric store to get some white eyelet for Addi's dress. I also got some gorgeous avocado green damask fabric. I can't wait to make a dress out of it! After that we went to Fresh Market to get some stuff for dinner. I was sad we weren't grilling anything that night, but we got a yummy honey rotisserie chicken which was just as close I guess. Addi was getting pretty tired of being in the car at that point so we went back home. I was organizing my sewing table and left Addi alone in her room for about 10 minutes. That was a mistake because she had gotten my hospital jug that was full of water and dumped it out all over herself and the floor. She was pretty proud of herself. We played for the rest of the afternoon and waited for Josh to get home. Addi was so excited to see him, she really missed her Daddy! He caught some fish so we will be frying them tomorrow night! I'm so excited! Now we are waiting for Real Housewives to come on and then it's off to bed! Me and Addi have a lunch date tomorrow with Mia! Can't wait to see her!
Hope y'all had a good Memorial Day!

Memorial Day Weekend!

This weekend was so much fun and it went by so quickly! I can't believe it's Sunday already! Saturday morning I woke up and was very surprised that Addi had slept through the night. I guess on Friday she was so tired she didn't eat hardly anything so I was really worried she would be waking up quite a bit, but she didn't!

Poor little thing must have been exhausted! Anyways, we dressed Addi super cute and even distracted her long enough to get a picture of her with a bow in her hair before we went to Searcy.

Once we got to Searcy we changed into our swimsuits and jumped in the pool! I was worried Addi would have a fear of water since her last two swim adventures didn't go so well, but she loved it! She sat in her little inflatable tube thing for a long time just watching all the kids play. Now, she didn't like it if she got splashed, but luckily that didn't happen very often.

After we swam for awhile, we ate lunch. Scott had smoked some chicken legs and put a carribean jerk spice on them, they were sooooooooo good! We also had hot dogs, hamburgers, Jeanette's amazing cheese dip and fruit. I also made deviled eggs for the first time! Yes, I realize that as much as I claim to be a true Southerner I am lacking in some of the most fundamental things, like never eating/making deviled eggs. Addi decided she didn't want to take a nap so we brought a blanket outside and watched everybody play volleyball. We had a little picnic with some crunchies and juice. Addi would lay down for brief periods like she was trying to go to sleep, but would pop back up because she didn't want to miss anything.

After the volleyball game we went inside to eat some yummy ice cream cake. We decided to head back to Little Rock after that, since Addi was so tired. She fell asleep as soon as we started the car and didn't make a peep till we were taking the exit home. We got Papa John's for dinner, for some reason I have been craving Papa John's pizza so Josh finally gave in and got it! We tried to feed Addi this gerber graduates meal that was little raviolis, but she didn't want anything to do with it, I guess I was wrong about her being ready for more grown-up food! She happily ate a huge jar of sweet potatoes instead.
There was a little suprise waiting for me when I got home! I had sent my aunt a couple of things of Addi's that I wanted her to monogram and they came back today! They are so precious, she did such a great job. Fran sewed most of these, that's why they look so good!

We just relaxed Saturday night and watched an old rerun of SNL before bed. On Sunday we heard a great sermon. Our church has been reading through the Bible since January and today we were on a passage in Song of Solomon. I wasn't real sure where our preacher was going with it, but he did a lesson on staying faithful to your spouse and kind of a his needs her needs style sermon. We had to get Addi out of the nursery early, because one of the teachers was leaving early so we went home and put her down for a nap. We had a short little nap then ate lunch. Josh left this afternoon to go fishing with some of his friends. I hope he catches lots of catfish so we can have a fish fry! He showed me a picture of one that his friend had already caught and it was HUGE. I would be way to scared to fish with things like that in the water! Me and Addi have a girl's night planned. We are going to watch The Blind Side finally, at least part of it before she has to go to bed and eat some yummy dinner. Tomorrow we plan on hitting up some of the Memorial Day sales! Hope y'all had a good weekend!
