Well even though we did lots of fall things this weekend, it still doesn't feel like fall and that makes me sad. I just want to be able to wear sweaters and boots and walk outside and not melt. Maybe in November we will start getting some cool temps. Anyways, so Saturday was Race for the Cure! Josh bet me $20 I would not get up and go! Haha! 5:45 came very early, but on our way we stopped and got a triple shot grande pumpkin spice latte. Yes, I need that much caffeine that early in the morning! Scott dropped me off at the Peabody to go meet Jeanette, Rachel and the kids. I got to their room and noticed they all had pink ribbons painted on the faces, so of course I needed one too. They then informed me they were going to run some of the race. Uhhhhhhh........we only ended up running for like 15 minutes, so it wasn't too bad!
I decided last minute not to take Addi. First, there were 50,000 people there and second, Addi is not a big fan of getting up early. Haha! I did make her a little shirt though, I had run out of my wonder under so it looks a little scraggly. Josh brought her up to breakfast though after the race. When we got done eating, it was time for the Peabody ducks to come out. It was so cute, they tell the story of the ducks and then go and then bring them down in the elevator and they walk right up and get in the fountain. Addi was so absorbed with the elevator and stealing other kid's goldfish that she missed seeing the ducks walk up to the fountain.
We headed to Searcy after that to go to Brooks' first birthday party!!! His party was Razorback themed, so Addi needed an outfit change!
How cute is that cake!?
Addi was intently watching the game. By the way, I am not going to comment on the game because I was dead to the world during it. I couldn't keep myself awake to watch it and I'm kinda glad I took a nap instead.
Saturday night we went to Josh's grandma's house for dinner and she had made a roast. Sooo good! After that, we made a quick trip to Landon and Cassie's house to meet Annalise! Annalise is Landon's niece and she is almost 2. Her and Addi had a lot of fun playing together!
I'm sorry for the horrible quality of these pics, I didn't have my camera all weekend. :(
I can't believe we were able to keep Addi up the whole way home! Poor thing didn't get in bed till 10:30! Needless to say, she slept very late this morning! We went to a fall festival that was here in Little Rock this afternoon. It was so much fun! There were a lot of vendors and little tables set up to do crafts and fun fall things. The only thing was, we were sweating if we were in the sun! Not right!!!
I needed a funny face pic of Addi.
Addi clapping for the band playing.
Funky pumpkins.
We will definitely be back to this park to take our Christmas card pics!
Hope y'all had a great weekend!!!
Homecoming!
