Breakfast Playdate

First, I love when people bring food over to our house. I love not having to cook anything or worry about if people will like what I've made. This morning, we hosted our playgroup at our house. The theme was pancakes and pj's. I was a little worried about how Addi would do because last night Addi's grandpa wanted to see her since he missed her and after they left she ended up not going back to sleep until 2:00. And I think the days of her sleeping till 10 are over, because she woke up at 8:30 this morning. She was already rubbing her eyes by 9:30 so I thought oh no, I hope she doesn't baby raptor any of the kids or throw a massive fit. Well she didn't, she was so good!!! I was so proud! Now Dixie on the other hand, well let's just say Dixie might go on a vacation next time we have a play date. Between her stealing all the toys and chewing on them under the couch and leaving surprises at random places in the house, Dixie was more work than Addi was! We had a yummy breakfast casserole and Krispy Kreme donuts, which Addi LOVED. It was a little crazy today with all the kids, but we had a lot of fun!
I was so embarrassed, but I looked over and Addi had pinned Keegan literally as soon as he came in! We are going to have to have a talk about how to play hard to get!

Showing the other Addi the cookie cutter collection.

Sweet Lily.

Addi LOVED Keegan! I'm pretty sure he liked her too! He kept whispering to me, "tell your baby to get me again!" Haha!

Baby Keegan. He wanted to pretend he was a baby. This boy is hilarious!!

These were Addi's "pj's." She usually sleeps in a onesie, but these looked more like pj's.

Keegan was giving them some older kid wisdom.

Addi fell asleep literally two minutes after the last person left. She was so tired poor thing! I hope that she sleeps a little better tonight, I'm pretty sure she will, she was just confused and excited to be woken up last night. Oh and tonight is the season finale of Real Housewives of New Jersey!!! Can't wait!

Busy Weekend!

This weekend was such a whirlwind of activities and fun events! On Saturday, Addi was amazing and slept in till 10:30!!! We couldn't believe it, she's been such a sleepy head lately! After she woke up, we played for a little bit and ate breakfast, then I headed to the gym. I've started going again, and it's honestly not as bad as I thought it would be. I am going to start doing classes next week. I'm pretty excited. When I got back, we went to Milford Track for lunch. Oh my word, I missed this place. Josh got blueberry pancakes and we both agreed they were the best pancakes we've ever had. EVER. I got the earl again and Addi ate some of my fries. It turned out to be pretty rainy on Saturday afternoon so we mostly played in Addi's room after we got home.

Addi kept cracking me up, because she kept trying to put the baby's paci in it's ear.

After the rain stopped, we went to Josh's grad school picnic. Addi was a big hit, as always.

She LOVES LOVES LOVES to drink out of water bottles.

My new favorite picture!!!

Addi is also a mountain dew fan.

Addi also made a new friend!

We headed home after the picnic and Josh stayed with Addi and I went out to dinner with my two BFF's. Treece is moving next weekend to Charlotte!!! I'm excited for her and very sad.

We went to five guys, and then Orange Leaf! Gosh, how many times in a week can I eat at this place. Oh, and I tried the coconut, new fav!

I promise I'm not pregnant, this is a horribly unflattering shirt!

Saturday night we stayed up late talking and laughing. I showed them all of Addi's birthday ideas and clothes I'm making and bored them to tears I'm sure! On Sunday, we had the fantasy football draft!!! I LOVE doing this, because we always make really good man food. And I wasn't the only girl this time! Yay! Amanda hung out with me and Melissa and Mia came by too! I had so much fun!
We made:
Smoked chicken legs with a buffalo sauce.

Pigs in a blanket. Classic.

Jeanette's cheese dip.

Mushroom and swiss sliders.

Cookies and Brownies.

The boys are so serious when they draft!

Addi loves her Auntie Mia!

When the draft was over, I had to get dressed up and go to the cocktail party for the RMH.

I had a great time and LOVED helping. I look forward to the Chocolate Ball in February!!!

Hope y'all had a great weekend!!!

Fro-yo Friday!

Yesterday me and Addi ventured out to Orange Leaf to meet up with our play group. We were actually supposed to go to story time at Whole Foods, but someone was a sleepy bear and needed a nap. So we skipped story time, but nothing was stopping us from getting our yogurt on.

This is Lily, Addi's bestie. Seriously, Addi loves her, notice the arms outstretched trying to grab her.

I didn't over do it on toppings this time either! I got half raspberry half wedding cake, so yum. And I put strawberries and blueberries(Addi ate those) and fruity pebbles and my signature candy orange slice. It was very good and everyone liked it so much we are going again as a group next Monday. Although, I can't promise that I won't go before then. :)

Grandpa's Birthday

First, Addi has something she would like to say.

Happy Birthday Grandpa!!!

(Sorry it's not a very good pic, but Addi was desperately wanting to rip that piece of paper up!)

So last night, we had a birthday dinner for Scott at our house. We made grilled rosemary chicken, roasted squash and asparagus, taters precious, corn on the cob, rosemary rolls, and chocolate pie with homemade chocolate whipped cream. Oh so good!!!

The kids were cracking me up, they kept saying, "these are the best potatoes EVER, this is the best chicken EVER!" It really was sooo good!

After we had our pie, Scott opened his birthday presents!

Your going to Chicago!!

We had so much fun, that is until the kids someone woke Addi up. She didn't go back down until LATE last night. Partly because me and Josh kept aruging who was going to put her back down, and she was happy playing with Jeanette.

Oh and here are some pictures of the little peanut head from yesterday.

Hope y'all have a great weekend!!!

Not so Wordless Wednesday

Today me and Addi went to the Church at Rock Creek with our play group! That church is ginourmous and so incredible! They have a two story play place that was awesome! There was a little corner that was just for babies and was away from all the bigger kid (rough-housing) playing that was going on, so it was perfect for Addi. I had a great time talking with all the mom's and Addi had a great time too!

Before we left, Addi looked so adorable!

Sweet Lily was waving at Addi in this one.

Lily's momma, Michelle.

By the end of it, Addi could crawl to the top!

Lily was so excited to show me where my ear was! :)

After we got done playing, we ran to the Ronald McDonald House to drop off some auction items. Our tournament is on Monday and the cocktail party with silent auction is Sunday night! I'm so excited, I'm going to be working registration at the party! We came back home and I put Addi down for a nap. When I was walking back towards the kitchen I noticed this view. Does this not look like fall? I can't wait for cooler temps and pumpkin spice lattes!!! So excited!

So I made the cake balls for church. They are addicting! Mine didn't look as pretty as bakerella's, but maybe with a little practice they will one day! We had a great time at our Bible study tonight. It was so good to see everyone again and Addi had a blast playing with Gracie and Hadley and Britton. Addi was a ham tonight also, us girl's were sitting around the dining room table and we went around saying our name and a little about ourselves and at one point we were all laughing and then it got quiet and Addi did a cough/fake laugh and we all laughed at her and then she KEPT doing it! That child LOVES attention! Oh me, I was a little embarrassed!

Tomorrow we are doing a birthday dinner for Addi's grandpa! We are making grilled split chicken with rosemary and garlic, grilled squash, asparagus and corn, and I'm making Pioneer Woman's fluffy new potatoes. For dessert, my chocolate pie. Soooooo excited. Hope y'all had a great day!!!
