First Thursday

Hey friends! Was your toddler crazy today? Just mine? Cool. Ah. Today was a challenge. Addi hasn't been listening very well at all and has gotten a bit of an attitude to go with it. It doesn't help that she shouts, "never!" when i ask her to pick up her toys. She got it from peter pan and i have to turn my head Everytime so she won't see me laugh! I think a bit of behavior boot camp is in order. 

Good thing this muffin didn't give me any problems today! 

All smiles! That is until I have him a bath tonight instead of feeding him right away and you would have thought I was cutting toes off. Mercy!!!

Addi told me a story today that was about a princess named mommy, a prince named Rhett, a crocodile named Dixie and a frog named belle. I asked who she was in the story and she looked around the room and said she was the tv. Hahaha. 

Sweet girl "brought" me Dixie this afternoon. Poor Dixie. Hahaha.

We went to sip and shop in hillcrest tonight. It was so nice outside. Very cool for June!

Babies and Bubbles

Happy Wednesday! This week has been exhausting and I'm lost as to why. We haven't really done a lot but at the end of the day I am worn out!! 

Rhett has been trying so hard to laugh. It's so cute!

I had the mirena put in yesterday. Whew. Traumatic. 

Such a sweet baby.

We were all in addis room listening to her "read" about sharks. 

This morning addi told Rhett all about the animals on his mobile. So sweet. 

Is there anything better than pizza and a cold coke?? 

We put Rhett on this playmat and he went to town kicking it! 

I got 30 minutes of quiet today so ill count that as a win. Haha.

Until the bubbles spilled and she slipped on them and then cried because her feet were dirty.

And then josh came home and everything was right again. 

I cannot get enough Mexican food lately. We had fajitas Saturday, Mexican Sunday, chuys on Tuesday and these rice bowls tonight. It's just Mexican rice, seared chicken, shredded cheese and guacamole. So good and simple!

Rhett-2 Months

Rhett you are 2 months!!! I can't believe how fast you are growing. I blinked and you are no longer a newborn. I truly love this stage though. You are getting so animated and more aware of what's going on around you. You are just a joy! 

 You are my chunky monkey! You weigh 13 lbs. 6 oz. and you are 22 1/2 inches long. You are 90% in weight and 25% for height. Haha! My little fullback. :) You are wearing size 1 diapers, although we are about to move you up to 2's. And size 3 month clothes. 

 You are sleeping in your crib! That started this month and I have to say it makes me sad you are already in there. But, you sleep SO much better by yourself. We swaddle you and turn on your sound machine and you are good to go. You put yourself to sleep and we haven't had to teach you that, you did that on your own. Yay! You generally wake up once to feed and that's about it. 

 You are nursing every 2 1/2-3 hours during the day. You continue to be a great eater! You were having a lot of issues last month with spitting up, but it has gotten much better this month. 

 Your favorite things are being talked to, you are a very social baby! Your bouncy seat, the swaddle, your pacis, the little birds on your swing. You are such a sweet boy Rhett. Your smile just makes us melt!

 You are such a chill little man Rhett! You rarely fuss unless you are hungry or tired. Thank you for being so easy!!! I would have 10 more babies if I knew they would be as easy as you are. :)

Monday Monday

We had a pretty good day here today! Emma was here to help me with the kiddos and it allowed me to crank out some orders! I love this little set!

Fun Weekend

Hey everyone! Hope y'all had a great weekend! It was pretty stormy here, which made for nice sleepy weather. :)

Rhett has been sleeping so good lately. In his crib!!! I can't believe it. I'm kinda sad, but I think he prefers his own space. 

Saturday, papa, Lila and Dustin came over. Rhett and papa took a nice long nap together while it rained. 

Addi got to go with josh up to the lab for a bit too! 

Josh took her up there the other night, and when they pulled up she asked if Brent and Nandini would be there. Josh said no, and she said,"I was wondering, will you show me the beautiful scenery?" What??? Hahaha!! We have no idea where she gets these things.

Addi wants to hold Rhett all the time. It's really sweet and kinda hilarious. 

That night we had a big group over flank steak fajitas. It started out as just having two people over and somehow grew to 17! Haha. We had all the fixins too. It was delish and so fun.

I accidentally coordinated us Sunday so we had to get a picture.

We went to Searcy after church to swim. 

That night was game of thrones night at Noah and treeces. Ps way to rip our hearts out and stomp on them gOt. 

Addi spent the night with papa and Lila so it's just me and this little lamb today! :) 

End of the Week!

Happy Friday people!!! So glad it's the weekend. :) 

Their expressions (especially addis) crack me up!!!! Rhett is smiling more and it is the sweetest. 

This is what happened after I told her she couldn't get in the swing with Rhett. Haha!

We went to lunch with daddy later on that day. :)

When we got home, addi wanted to do some tummy time with rhetters. Sweet babies.

I made these rice bowls for dinner. Modeled after chipotle of course! It was just Mexican rice, chicken, cheese and guacamole. SO simple but SO good!!

We went to Larry's pizza today with some friends. Addi ate three pieces!!! I was shocked. That's the most she's ever eaten...ever. Ha! Rhett was content to just observe, although a server guy kept offering pizzas to him. It was really funny.

Addi got suckers there and was using them to tell me when to stop and go. Clever girl. 

After that, we took Rhett for his two month checkup. I told addi he had to get some shots and she was pretty worried about it. 

She kept telling him,"it will just hurt for a second rhetters." So sweet!!!

Right before the dreaded shots. Poor babies, they were both crying at the end. Addi felt so bad for her little brother! She stayed by him the whole time he got them. She is just the sweetest big sister ever. :)
