Valentines Day!

Hope y'all had a great valentines day! Before I started dating josh, I never really acknowledged v-day. My dad would usually send flowers to the school or balloons, but nothing big. Josh's family goes all out for this holiday. It was a tradition in his family that the girls fixed and served the meal to the guys and it had to be really gourmet. Wellllllll......being 8 months pregnant, lets say I needed help. Haha! Josh smoked the chickens and decorated the table AND cleaned up. The meal was so insanely good. To start we had pimento cheese. Kinda random, but everyone loves it. Then smoked Cornish game hens, individual potato gratins, cornbread dressing with walnuts, roasted green beans, rosemary rolls, and for dessert...pioneer woman's strawberry shortcake cake and a chocolate pecan tart. Just ridiculously good.

Addi has been so excited to celebrate each holiday lately so she loved all the decorations and presents. Haha!

I had to put my feet up at the end if the night because they were swelling. Good thing I had lots of help cleaning up. :)

Weekend recap!

This weekend was a fun one!

Friday night, josh grilled burgers for Noah's birthday. So delicious and always fun.

Saturday, addi and I went to a valentines tea party at Amelia and Sydney's house! Jill is such an amazing hostess and every detail was so cute. Addi had a blast.

Saturday night, we went and ate pizza and then had a little Home Depot date! Haha. Rhett's room is coming right along and I'm giddy about it. :)

Today was church then lunch out with friends. The sermon was one that I needed to hear so bad it made me a bit uncomfortable to listen to it. But, obviously I needed to hear it and its something I have been reflecting on ever since. :)

Rest of the week...

I'll eventually figure out the spacing when I use the blogger app! But for now they just all post at once. Anyways...

We decided to go to the park again on Wednesday, but this day was super chilly and windy. So sad because the previous day was perfect! We bribed the girls to leave since we were so cold and go to chick fil a and have ice cream and play there. It didn't work at first, but we finally got them to leave. :)

Thursday, addi and I went to gymnastics and then ran what seemed like 1,000 errands. We got the oil changed on my car and addi was so concerned. She asked if our car was at the dr getting a checkup. Sweet girl.

Today I felt like we earned a lazy pj day. It seems like everyday this week we've been on the go so it was nice to just hang out and relax.

Terrific Tuesday

Today was such a fun day. I blame the amazing weather we had. Sunny, gorgeous and almost 70! Perfection. :)

Addi got the day started by giving Dixie the hug of death. I didn't feel that sorry for her because the whole time Dixie was creepin on addis breakfast.

I had a checkup today too and my doctor surprised me with a 4d peek at our sweet boy. He cooperated so well and we got a lot of great shots. The ultrasound tech said she thinks he has my nose and Josh's lips. I also think he looks like addi too! It makes me so excited to meet him soon. :)

Addi did so good at my appointment so we grabbed some chick fil a and headed to our favorite park! She was so excited to be outside and in the fresh air.

It was just a nice day with my girl. Hope y'all had a great one!

Sickies

This past weekend, addi and I both had colds. We mostly laid around and tried to rest as much we could. It's hard to explain to a 3 year old that they need to rest! :) thankfully we are both feeling much better today.

These are just phone pics from this weekend. We showed addi our wedding video Saturday night. She loved it! And it was fun to look back at it. Our videographer was amazing and the whole thing looks like a movie. We love it.
