Friday
We headed up to the River House for dinner and the first night of festivities. Addi was sporting her first themed outfit for the weekend.
(That was before we left the house, and someone was GLUED to Good Luck Charlie).
Once we got there, Addi was swarmed with her admirers.
At this point, Addi climbed into the car and started buckling herself in and then said, "go." Apparently, she needed some space at this point. She was pretty overwhelmed with all the people.
We took her down to the river and she loved it. Except she wanted to jump in, so it didn't last very long. It was so cool though, because the fog was rolling in over the river and it was so eerie looking!
Tried to get a family pic, didn't work. Ha!
Sweetness!
These next pictures are of Addi in hot mess mode. She was SO tired and had been sweating and was just generally acting crazy. Hilarious, but crazy.
Had to show off her cute little bloomers.
Once we got back to Scott's house, Addi showed off her new dance moves. Lately at night, she will turn on the radio in our room, pick up one of Josh's hats, put it on backwards, then do this like slow back and forth gangster dance. It's HILARIOUS, but we have NO clue where she learned it from!
Saturday
I was sick Saturday. I spent most of the day in bed. I had been feeling kind of bad, just like a cold type sick, and this was the worst day of it. :( Thankfully, there were tons of people to help with Addi so I got plenty of rest. For dinner, we went to Doc's and ate really good. :) There was also a surprise cake for Josh's grandma and grandpa's 50th wedding anniversary coming up this fall!
Ice cream with Lila! What's funny is Jeanette sat down and thought the butter on the table was ice cream and took a big bite. I laughed SOOO hard!!!
Addi and Auntie Em!
Addi was in balloon heaven.
Y'all. Look at Josh's face. He was trying to get Addi to laugh and J caught it on camera. Fav picture EVER.
Sunday
We actually stayed the night in LR because Josh had some work to do up at the lab, and I thought we might actually feel up to going to church. Sadly, we didn't. I still felt pretty crummy. Once we got around, we headed back up to the River House for a delicious early supper of pulled pork, fried chicken and all the fixins.
We took Addi back down to the river while Josh did some fishing, but didn't stay long because it was hot as blazes!
What do you do when you get too hot down in the South? Cool off with an air vent of course!
We did all sorts of fun activities and games all day. Addi was tired and really cranky so we left before we got to see the Redneck Wedding! Apparently, it was hilarious! Josh's family is always putting on plays and fun stuff like that. I love it!
Monday
Addi got into a game of ping pong. Literally.
We spent the day swimming and eating and visiting with family. Perfection.
It was also Libby's 10th birthday! So Emma threw her a dog party!
We played in the pool for HOURS. So much fun. And so tiring.
Hope y'all had a GREAT weekend!!!
