Oh my goodness, what a weekend we had! I am tired down to my bones, and going to bed early tonight! On Saturday morning, bright and early, we headed to Texarkana for Eden's birthday party! She had it at a cute little horse ranch and all the kids got to ride a horse! Addi was so bashful when we first got there and only would let Granddad hold her.
I was worried about how Addi would do with the horses. I am a little scared of them just because my aunt told me a story once of her friend getting kicked in the head by a horse and I think that stuck with me. Anyways, Addi LOVED them. These pictures are blurry because the camera was on a manual focus setting, but I think Whitney got some good ones!
Addi loved the horses so much she screamed and pinched me when we had to get off. Drama queen! Luckily, it was time for cake anyways!
The birthday girl!
Oh and Josh now has baby fever from holding Cade. Except, he only wants a boy.
Oh! I do have to say that a little boy kissed Addi when we were at the party! He was probably her age, maybe a little older, but he kept eyeing her and they were both standing at a little arcade game and he leaned in and SMOOCHED her!!! Addi hit him!!! Way to go girl! And when I say hit, I mean she patted him several times. But then, seconds later, she had her arm around him. What a flirt!
When we got back to the house, we stripped Addi down to a diaper and let her walk around in the yard.
Addi took a really good nap afterwards, then she was back at it again!
I was plum worn out from chasing her around all afternoon! Josh and Granddad went golfing and after they got back, Mur and I went shopping for a little bit, then we went out for dinner. We tried this place called Timothy's that was SUPER nice, and Mur had a gift card to there. It was one of thsoe fine dining places that takes several hours to eat there. Not ideal for a toddler. Ummm...I just apologize to the people in Timothy's because Addi acted a fool. Between the shrieks of joy because she saw her french fries to the massive pouring out of her goldfish bag, let's just say I hope Granddad left a great tip. On the other hand, the food was excellent!
Sunday morning, Addi looked PRECIOUS in her little dress and bow.
Too bad she wouldn't let me leave the nursery once we got to church! That's okay, I had fun watching her play with the other kids.
When we got back to the house, we were put to work! Scott came with a bed of pea gravel for Addi's new playground! Us, plus Kyle and Carson worked hard on the yard this afternoon. And I actually worked part of the time! I was in charge of trimming the branches and limbs and I don't think I've ever had such a good arm workout!
The sandbox is the first piece we have! The rest should be in later this week and once we get it put together, I will definitely take pictures and post them!
We rewarded the guys for their hardwork, by fixing a good dinner!
Hope y'all had a great weekend!
