Teething...Again.

Well Addi has started teething again. How do we know? Ha. Well for starters, last night she woke up at 10:30 and didn't go back to sleep until 1:00, even after repeated rockings and attempted crying it out's. She is also chewing her fingers and she's just not her regular self. Ugh, I hope this passes soon!
We did have a pretty good day in spite of her and mommy being a little tired! Today was our day to run errands so after Addi's nap we went by Josh's lab and ate a quick lunch with him. All the girl's just loved her! Yes those are curly fries, Addi LOVED them! Josh's grandma made that dress for her, I really want to get it monogrammed!

We went to this new store called Charming Charlie to get a gift card for one of our friends. That store is so awesome! It's tons and tons of accessories, purses, shoes and clothes that are super cute and categorized by color. It's also surprisingly not expensive which is the best part! We made a trip to Wal-mart and by the time we were leaving the parking lot, Addi was out!
This afternoon, Addi was walking around with her little push toy and she was walking pretty fast and once she hit the rug, she took a tumble over the toy and flipped the toy with her. It scared the living daylights out of me! I was sitting right there so I jerked her up and held her really close just anticipating the loudest cry, but she didn't! She just looked at me kinda in shock and was like, umm mom put me down I wanna keep playing!

Addi has also gotten to be a little diva when she doesn't get what she wants! She was trying to get my phone that I had put out of her reach and just started crying and banging her hands on the table because she couldn't get it! Then gave me this little face!

Addi loves looking at these flash cards, I wanna know what she's thinking so bad!

We had this for dinner! I just used things we had in the pantry and fridge. It's pasta with tomato cream sauce, roasted chicken and a bread crumb parmesan topping. It was very good!

I am going to see Eclipse tomorrow and I can't wait!!! Hope y'all had a good day!

Show us your life:Things you make!

I've just started to learn how to sew, and I LOVE it! I love going to a fabric store or a craft store and coming up with fun outfits for Addi. I know I still have A LOT to learn, but so far I'm having a blast! These are a few things I've made, or Josh's grandmother (who is extremely talented) has made. Rhen makes bows and my aunt also monograms a lot of Addi's things, so we are very blessed!

Monday

In order to be more productive, I started categorizing days of the weeks into cleaning day, errand day, RMH day and then two fun/play days! Today was my cleaning day and boy did this house need it! Since Addi is getting into everything, I've started noticing places in the house that I've been neglecting, so during Addi's morning nap I literally scrubbed the house! It feels so good now to sit back and relax! Of course, Addi made messes throughout the day so it only lasted for a little while!

After we played hard this afternoon, we got ready to go eat dinner with Treece and Noah at the new five guys down by our house!

It was so good! We both said this will be something we now crave!

Addi loved Noah! She was cheesing at him the whole time!
Treece is over now and we just painted our nails, now were watching a movie!

Tomorrow is errand day! Hope y'all had a great day!

Our Weekend!

This past weekend was our annual group canoe trip to the Buffalo River. It was a blast as always!!! On Friday I was running around like crazy trying to get everything done before we left. We had lunch with a playdate friend, a meeting at the RMH, a Walmart trip, plus packing, plus tidying up before Josh's grandma got there! And to top it off, Addi didn't nap hardly at all which made things a little difficult! She actually did sleep almost through the whole lunch. She hasn't done that in months!

Look how tired she looks!

We finally got all of our things done and packed up and we headed to Conway to meet everyone for dinner! We had a fun and hilarious night!

Saturday morning we woke up to DELICIOUS french toast made by Evan! It was so good! After breakfast we headed out to the river! We canoed for about five hours and made a lot of little stops along the way to rest and swim. The boys jumped off several cliffs as usual.

Me, Scott, Jeanette and Rhen headed home after canoeing. I missed Addi! It was so good to see her. Although, she had a hard time going to bed that night! On Sunday, Addi decided to wake up at 5:30 A.M. She just missed me I guess. Ha ha! Sunday afternoon, we ate lunch at Istanbul and made ourselves sick off of Greek food. Rhen also made Addi some super cute hairbows!

We just relaxed after Addi went to bed, we were pretty worn out from such a busy weekend!
Hope y'all had a great weekend too!

Addi-9 Months!

Wow, so I can't believe Addi will be a year old in just three months! I've already been planning her party for a couple of months now, but I think I'm going to start finalzing some of the details and get a jump on making some of the "crafty" things! I'm so excited, it's going to be so much fun!

So Addi you are nine months old! What are you up to?

-You are in size three diapers still.

-You are wearing mostly twelve month clothes, they are a little loose, but some of the nine month clothes are getting too small.

-We finally got you weighed, 18 lbs. 9 oz. We thought you weighed a lot more! Ha ha!

-You are 26 1/2 inches long. 40% percentile in both weight and height.

-You weaned yourself at 8 1/2 months. You are drinking four 4 oz. bottles a day now.

-You eat 5 or 6 jars of baby food each day. You LOVE yogurt! Your still not crazy about green veggies, but you will eat them occasionally.

-You still LOVE crunchies, they are your favorite snacks! Although, you are very interested in trying whatever were eating.

-You love books. They keep you occupied for a long time! You just sit there and flip through them, it actually looks like your reading them.

-You have started to walk if you are holding onto something. You love to walk around the house with your little push toy or walk around the coffee table holding onto it.

-You said momma just a week ago! You say da-da all the time, you've started calling most of your toys and Dixie, "ba", you say "hi" to people and wave.

-You are still very friendly and love to be held and talked to by everybody!

-You are still sleeping 11-12 hours a night, but lately it's been a battle trying to get you down for bed! Once you are asleep you don't move, but getting you to that point has been a challenge!

-You take a long morning nap and a short or not at all afternoon nap.

I just love being your mommy and you make me laugh every single day. You have such a little personality already. You are such a blessing to me and your Daddy! We love you!

Show us your Life: Children's Activities!

Today over at Kelly's Korner, she is doing show us your life for children's activities! Most of Addi's activities right now involve baby toys and getting into everything she can. But, when she's a little older, I have these up my sleeve!

1. Painting Pottery

I LOVE doing this! It's so relaxing and a great way to channel some of those creative urges. It's great for kid's too because they have little things for them to paint and the paint is washable. It's also great because your child can make gifts for family and it's just really special because they made them! Cute!

2. Sewing

Josh's grandmother taught all of her kids and grandkids how to sew at a very early age. It's a wonderful skill to have and also an outlet for creativity also! I love this little pink sewing machine!

3. Cooking

This is my favorite thing to do and as a child it was my favorite thing to do when I went to my Mimi's house. We used to bake cakes all the time, it was so fun! I bought Addi the Paula Deen cooking for kid's cookbook and I can't wait to be able to cook with her! It will be so sweet.

Hurricane Addi

Today, Skipper and Emma came down to celebrate my birthday! It's been like a two week long birthday celebration. Not complaining! Ha! We went and ate lunch at Zaza's! They have the best salads. Addi was looking particularly cute with her little hair bow! She's been really good lately about keeping them on!

Skipper got me the sweetest gifts. The new Beth Moore book, a devotional book for moms, and a new Bible! I've been needing a new one for awhile and this one is super cute! Emma got me a handheld electric mixer. I have a nice Kitchenaid mixer, but sometimes ya just need both!
After lunch and yummy gelato, we went to this consignment sale. It wasn't as good as Rhea Lana's or Duck Duck Goose, but I did get a couple of things. Rhen didn't approve of this toy for Addi!

After the sale, Skipper and Emma went back and we just played for the rest of the afternoon. I should say, Addi left a path of destruction in every room she "played" in! We are definitely getting to that stage where Addi is into EVERYTHING!

Addi took a late nap and I had a hard time getting her to bed tonight! She went to bed around 9:30 and Josh ended up putting her to sleep! Tomorrow we go on our annual canoe trip to Buffalo River! I'm so excited, I just hope were able to canoe. It's been awfully dry around here lately!
