So this morning I started making dinner for the RM House tonight. I decided to make a chicken mac and cheese, and enough of it for 35 people. So...let's just say this...I'm not very good at making large quantities of food. Meaning, I started way to many things at once and was running around like a mad woman going from one step to another. Addi was in her high chair munching on Life cereal and thoroughly enjoyed her crazy mother in frantic Iron Chef mode. I even dropped a whole canister of flour on the floor and it was like a flour bomb went off in the kitchen. I wish I would have taken a pic of the disaster that my kitchen was, but I was too busy! It took almost two hours to clean up! Thankfully, Addi took a two and a half hour nap this morning, so I still got my coffee and computer time!
For the rest of the day we just hung out around the house. It was SOOO hot today, I just really didn't feel like getting out. Here are some cute shots I took of Addi.
Dixie was a wild woman today. This is an action shot of her about to pounce one of Addi's stuffed animals.
I also tried to put a bow in her hair, she HATED it.
Josh also got some great news today! He is officially a Phd. candidate!!! Yay Josh!!!
We also had a great time at the RMH. We met an adorable little boy who is a couple of weeks older than Addi. He was born at 24 weeks! We couldn't believe it. He actually weighs more than Addi does! He was just the cutest little thing. He LOVED Addi and kept trying to grab her. She didn't know what to think! We headed home after awhile and ate our dinner, which was....you guessed it! Chicken mac and cheese!
Addi did the cutest thing during her bath tonight. She would take each of her toys and put them in the little compartment in her baby tub, then take each of them out. Then she would look at us like, "I did it!"
I really want Josh to make me a cappuccino right now, but were out of milk. :( I hope everyone had a great day!
