Dear Addi...

My word. I can't believe I'm writing this. Addi, you are two years old today!!! Where has the time gone? I feel like it was just yesterday, I had come out of the doctor's office and I was feeling so down because my doctor said I probably wasn't going to meet you anytime soon and she scheduled an induction because I was so itchy. You had your own plans little girl and I am so thankful you came the very next day. Ever since you arrived and we heard that precious cry of yours, my heart changed forever. You didn't come out mad. You came out quite calm! You only were mad when they gave you a bath for the first time. I remember staring at you when they handed you to me. I couldn't believe that they were going to let me keep you. You were just so perfect and you stared at me so intently like you knew who I was. After those few moments of just staring at each other, I knew I would never ever be the same. You have changed my heart Addi, you have a piece of it that will be with you forever. You are my precious little angel baby and you always will be. Even when you are 16 years old and a sassy britches, you will still be my baby. And little girl, you can't even begin to imagine how many people love you. You are so blessed to have some of the greatest people I know be your family. You bring our lives so much joy, and I just can't wait to see what you are going to do sweet girl. Okay, so I am now a puddle of tears. :) Addi, you are going to have the best day tomorrow! We have lots of fun surprises planned and you will see all your favorite friends and all your family! And yes, there will be cupcakes. LOTS of cupcakes. :) Now I am going to leave you with some sweet baby Addi pictures while I go cry into my pillow. :)

Tuesday Activities

Today was such a fun day! We went with our playgroup to Chick Fil A! Always a great choice. :) There were so many babies there today it was fun!




Addi of course, ate one bite of chicken and went off to go play.




After lunch, Cheryll and I headed to the Toggery to check out some fall cuteness. Addi and Eli got in some trouble and pulled off every bow on this one holder. MORTIFIED!!!!! We got those trouble makers outta there quick after that! :)

Sweet little Autumn came over this afternoon to model one of my creations. Isn't she a sweetie!?





Addi got several birthday packages in yesterday. She's a very lucky and loved little girl! :)

Weekend Update

So this is the first weekend in awhile that we have all been healthy! Yay!!! I prayed Saturday night that we would be well enough to go to church. I have missed it so much. :)

Friday felt like true fall. I was SO excited!!! We made chili and pumpkin spice muffins for dinner that night. It was so nice. :) I even wore a cardigan. Yay!

Addi has been really interested in the potty lately. She still hasn't gone on it, but she has told me several times that she needs to go. She has this book about Elmo going to the potty and we read it every time she's in there. Well, that night, we were getting ready for bed and she grabbed Elmo and said, "Elmo go potty!" and then proceeded to put Elmo in the potty. She even got toliet paper to wipe him. Hilarious!



Saturday, we watched a whole lot of college football. I was feeling kind of puny so I stayed in a huge oversized sweatshirt and yoga pants mostly all day. :) Addi looked so cute in her game day outfit!

This morning, it was so gloomy and rainy when we woke up I was really tempted to stay in bed and sleep in. Addi hasn't slept past 5:30 the past week and this week has been really exhausting, but I'm glad we went to church. We've missed our time there! Oh and yes you heard that right, Addi has been waking up at 5 or 5:30, sometimes 3:30 this past week and she'll come get in bed with us. Did I mention I go to bed usually at 2? Yeah.........it's made for a long week! :)

Sister girl did look darling this morning though.



So tomorrow kicks off Addi's big birthday week!!!! I'm so excited for the party on Saturday and I'm really excited to see Addi's reaction to her gifts and her party and her big special gift from her PaPa. It's a surprise, but I can't wait to show y'all!!!

We're Still Here!

Man oh man. It's been awhile since I've been on the ole blog. Lots of stuff has been going on, some good and some bad. Addi got yet another stomach bug, along with a cold and is just now starting to feel like herself again. I'm crossing my fingers we can hold off on any more sicknesses till after her big birthday bash. :)

So last week, yikes, there was really nice cool weather, sidewalk chalk time, chocolate chip cookies, and princess crowns.





Addi had gotten over her last sickness and we joined our playgroup friends for an extra delicious, breakfast playdate! Best food ever.




Addi was a toot of course, and spent the majority of her time there, putting sweet baby Autumn's toys in her diaper genie. I counted 13 when I pulled them out.



She did have a blast playing with her friends.





That night, Addi attended her very first football game! She went to the Harding Academy game, which is where Josh and I went to school, so I felt I needed to dress her up. :)




On Saturday, we went and tailgated for the Razorback game! Woo Pig! Addi was a hot mess by the end of this day, bless her heart! But, she had fun!










Poor girl passed out!!


Sunday morning, I was getting ready for church when all of a sudden, I heard the horrifying sound of someone throwing up. I ran into our bedroom and Josh and Addi were sitting there with just shocked expressions. Poor Josh got thrown up on all over. Addi threw up three more times before the Phenergan we gave her kicked in. Poor thing slept most of the day and even slept the whole night. She also had a runny nose so I know she just felt miserable. :(

Luckily, when she woke up this morning, she was magically all better. In a great mood, no throwing up or messy diapers, back to normal, I HOPE. We did miss out on playgroup just because she might still have some mess going on and we certainly don't want to spread it to others. We did go and have lunch with Josh. I found these little toy packs at Walmart for 97 cents that have a coloring book, crayons and STICKERS! And this one was Toy Story themed. It kept Addi pretty occupied while we ate.



We also played outside for a little bit. I'm ready for this heat to go on back. I need cool fall temps!!!



So that was our week and weekend in a nutshell! I'm hoping we can stay healthy this week! :)
