All About Eliza and Our Week

Tuesday night, we patiently awaited the arrival of sweet Eliza!
Treece was a total rockstar and did an amazing job. Eliza came very quickly after we got there!
I can't believe she's here!
Eliza's daddy, Noah.
They are twins.
We were just a little excited.
That night, we took Addi up to meet her. She was so curious, and very sweet.
The next day, we went up there again. Addi sang Twinkle Twinkle Little Star to Eliza when she started fussing a little. It was so cute!!
Addi also is in LOVE with Ms. Debbie, Treece's mom.
Morning cuddles with Belle Belle bear!
Daddy saw Addi off to school on Thursday.
We needed more baby snuggles.
On Friday, we got to watch sweet Autumn while her momma was at a doctor's appointment.
Then we went to our favorite playplace to hang out. Lily was tickling Addi. Sweet friends!
Just hanging out.
Addi HAD to touch the schoolbus in the parking lot. Haha!
Friday night, we went back over to Noah and Treece's to fix dinner. We made chicken alfredo, broiled caprese tomatoes and delicious cheese bread. There was also peach cake, but I didn't get a picture. It was  so good and it was also so good to love on Eliza some more. :)
Saturday, we went to Jill's house for a baby shower for Nathaniel! Of course, Addi and I were late. Sorry guys. :) But I just have to say that Jill is such a great hostess. She is just a natural in making you feel welcome and doing a fantastic job with decorating and the food. Also, her sister Joy is an amazing cook!! The food was just incredible. Everything was so cute, but of course, I didn't get a picture, so I stole this one from Niki.
Amelia, was also a great mini hostess!
Niki opening her presents. I can't wait to meet Nathaniel!
Papa and Lila came down Saturday night to take us to dinner, and meet Eliza. They also took Addi back with them for a few days. So nice!
I got this Razorback sample made. Makes me super excited for fall and football season.
Coming out of Kroger yesterday, there was this space of land and the sun was shining through the clouds. It was so pretty.

The weather has also been really nice here. It's still hot, but since it's been raining a lot, it's in the low 90's and sadly enough, it feels really refreshing. Ha!

Hope y'all had a good week!

Playdate Time

We had a fun little playdate at the house yesterday! There was a big turn out and it was so great to see everyone! The food was great also.

Ali and Addi playing. Ali is such a sweetheart.
She wanted a princess dress ASAP!
Brilie was thrilled to be there. ;) Just kidding, she had a blast.
Poor Eli! Haha!
Sweet pick up game in the hallway.
New baby Ruby who is so precious!
Sweet Hadley in some dress up shoes.
We missed a few people, but it was a fun time! Also, Treece had Eliza last night! We are just smitten with that precious bundle of love. Addi is in love and is so sweet to her. I can't wait for her to be a big sister.

Hope y'all had a great day!

Catch Up

Hi friends! Long time no blog...again. I've got to get a better app on my phone that allows me to post from there. Any recommendations? :)

I kicked off my clean eating week with a green monster smoothie. I just love all the pretty colors and they are delicious. Even Addi likes them. You can't taste the spinach at all.
Belle Belle wanted Addi to play with HER, not the ipad. Haha!
Another clean eating fav, was a banana wrap. It's just a fresh whole wheat tortilla, spread with peanut butter, and wrapped around a banana. So filling and good.
We got ready to celebrate the 4th by drinking out of crazy straws!
We also did some science experiments! Since it's so dang hot outside, we've been staying inside ALOT. Pinterest has been a life saver with fun activities for toddlers. This is just baking soda, and vinegar with a dropper. It creates mini volcanoes. Addi loved it and it kept her occupied for an hour.
My little love muffin.
This picture STILL cracks me up. Josh was doing pull ups and Addi wanted him to do a pull up with her on the rocking horse.
Happy Fourth of July!!!!
We celebrated by going to Searcy to swim with our friends and hang out at Papa's house!
Don't be alarmed! I had to go get my passport picture taken and it wasn't a great idea to take it after a full day of swimming. Isn't the resemblance uncanny?? ;)
For dinner Thursday, we made this INCREDIBLE pasta sauce that was pretty healthy too. It was ground turkey, with garlic, peppers and onions. Then tomato sauce with fresh herbs and cherry tomatoes from Scott's garden. So delish.
We actually had a rainy day Friday! Woohoo!! Addi enjoyed the day by eating peanut butter by the spoonful in front of Belle.
She really was fascinated by the rain though.
Friday night's dinner was steaks, and then we used the rest of our tomatoes and this buffalo mozzarella. We broiled them and they were like little no carb pizzas.
Saturday, Addi and I made cupcakes for Brent's birthday party.
Sweet Lucia. Nandini made some really good chicken curry!!!
Sunday morning, Josh made, me, Treece and Mia waffles! They were so good.
Addi got into a tube of pink toothpaste Friday night, and I'm STILL finding it places.
We went with Scott, Jeanette and the kids to dinner and a movie. We saw Spiderman (which was SO good) and Josh, Addi, Amber and Frannie went to see Brave. Addi has now seen that movie 3 times.
Mia did my nails Saturday night. Cajun Shrimp is such a good summer color.
This morning, I started back on the eat clean track! I have lost 2 lbs already. I did "cheat" some over the weekend, but I tried to pick natural foods without any preservatives. That's been my goal so far.
And just for fun. Addi and Josh were playing hide and go seek this afternoon. This is how Addi would hide. Haha!!! It cracked us up.
Hope y'all had a great week! Treece is being induced in the morning so hopefully we will meet Eliza soon!!!!!! I can't wait!

Clean Eating

I am SOOOO excited to say that thanks to my amazing in laws, I am going to Mexico at the end of this month!!! I've been dying to go to the beach and Jeanette is letting me tag along on a little getaway with them. These are some pictures from the resort. Absolute paradise. I can't wait!!!

Now, while I am just giddy with the anticipation of being on the beach, I have a little trepidation as far as being "beach ready." I don't hate how I look in a swimsuit, but there is definite room for improvement. :) I am starting the Clean Eating Diet tomorrow. I'm not a big fan of diets, I don't like being restricted and I really don't like being hungry. :)

I picked the Clean Eating Diet, because you can still have good food. This is just a sampling of what I will be eating next week. I'm going to also share my meal plan at the end of the post if you are interested in joining me!
So for the diet, you are supposed to eat every 3 hours. Which will be challenging at first, but something to get used to. Also, no white foods, so white rice and pasta are out. No processed foods. No diet drinks. Going to be honest, this will be hard, but I know I will feel better after I get through the first 3 days. Basically, you just try to eat foods that have a lot of natural ingredients. So tons of fruit, lots of lean protein, good carbs, such as whole wheat pasta and brown rice, and lots of veggies. Seems easy enough, right? :)

I found this blog, called The Gracious Pantry, and it's been my go to for a lot of the recipes. Also, Pinterest has been a great source too. That's where I found the recipes for the no-bake energy bites and the caprese grilled chicken.

So onto the meal plan!

Breakfasts for this week:
Red Pepper Egg Scramble
Pumpkin Pie Oatmeal (I know it's July, but it looks amazing!!!)
Banana Wrap
Green Smoothie

Lunches include:
Chicken Taco Salad
Leftover Fried Rice
Berry Almond Chicken Salad
Pecan Pear Salad

Dinners:
Chicken Fried Rice (loaded with tons of veggies and brown rice)
Clean Eating Spaghetti
Rosemary BBQ pork chops with sweet potatoes
BBQ chicken salad-this will be revised a little to eliminate some of the processed ingredients
Grilled Caprese Chicken

In Between Meals/Snacks:
Greek yogurt and berries
Energy Bites
Smoothies
Caramel Popcorn
Banana Wraps
Strips of grilled chicken
Fruit

Sorry, that was a lot of info. Haha!!! But, I want to keep myself accountable and stick to this so I can feel beach ready in a few weeks!!!

Feel free to email me any questions! I'm not an expert by any means, but I can share what I'm doing. :)
