Just some stuff

We've had a fun past few days. Wednesday, we had some friends over to play. I took one picture and that was it. Whoa. Alert the media. But, for real, this face is hilarious. She makes it when she's getting in trouble.

Just goofing off.

Today was very productive. Addi took a long nap which allowed me to clean the entire house and crank out a few orders. Yay Addi!
For dinner we headed to the heights for first Thursday.

Typical. :)

We went to sushi cafe. The bomb roll is my fav!

It did not disappoint. There was a time in my life where I wouldn't even try sushi. It makes me sad to think about it. Haha!

Walking around. Addi was so excited everyone was there.

Live music outside this coffee shop. So fun.

We are headed to the river this weekend for some R&R!!! Jane a good one! :)

10 Things to do in Little Rock this Summer

I thought I would write a post about fun things to do with kids in Little Rock! With summer being here, we all need some ideas for keeping the kiddos entertained!

1. Downtown Little Rock
-There is so much to do down here! The Farmer's Market is on Tuesday and Saturday, there is the trolley that only costs $1 and it's free for kids. There are tons of great restaurants and a free splash pad. The Market Hall is also fun to walk around in.

-There is the Museum of Discovery. Really cool kids science museum.

2. Jump Zone
-Oh the kids love this place. Filled with inflatable slides and bounce houses.

3. Jacksonville Splash Zone
-Only $5 and there is a huge area for the little ones, with slides and a shallow wading area.

4. Wonder Place
-I think we will be spending a lot of time here once it gets real hot. You can also catch deals were it's buy one admission get one free, or there is free adult day.

5. Parks
-Our favorites are:
Lake Willastein
Woodland's Edge
Allsop Park

6. Church at Rock Creek
-This is a huge church with a free indoor play place that is super nice. Another plus is they have a Starbucks!!!

7. Chick Fil A
-Can't get any better than this. Yum food and you gotta love a CLEAN playplace!

8. The Zoo
-I really do love our zoo. They have a neat train you can ride, and a smallish little petting zoo type area, except you don't pet the animals. Haha! And penguins!

9. The Library
-You can look up when they are having storytimes. And sometimes they do a fun craft too.

10. Larry's Pizza
-One of Addi's favorite foods is pizza, and they have a really neat arcade room. Really fun.

A Fun Day and A First!

Addi and I had the best day today. Since it's officially summer, I've been trying to find fun things for us to do together. Going downtown is an old standby. We always have a blast! Look at how cute this outfit is. I got it at Kelly's Kids. Definitely a splurge, but as soon as I saw it in the catalog, I knew I had to have it. Addi begged for chips this morning. After our monster smoothies, I gave in. :)
This is one of the reasons why I picked going downtown. Flying Fish, fish tacos. YUMMM!!!!!
Playing in this cool fountain while waiting on the trolley.
Trolley time!
After we rode the trolley for a little while, we stopped by the Farmer's Market just as they were packing up. We headed back home and decided to stop in to get Addi's hair cut. Her hair is long and fine, and has desperately needed a little trim for awhile now. But, I'm terrified to get it cut, because I don't want her to look older!!! It was stressing me out, but we ran into Pigtails and Crewcuts and got a little trim. I'm pretty sure the stylist thought I was crazy describing what I wanted. Haha. Addi did really good and actually liked having her hair blow dryed.
She looks a little nervous here, but she did really good.
Silly girl.
The after. Not too much of a difference, which is good. My momma heart probably couldn't handle a big change.
Since we were right by Cupcakes on the Ridge, we stopped in and got one.
Addi picked double chocolate.
This was her face after I asked if we could share. Hahahaha!!!!
I love days like this with my little bear. :)

Our Weekend

Hi everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend! Ours was very nice and relaxing. :) On Thursday, we went to a fun playdate at our friend, Heidi's house! She lives out in the country, so the girls got to play in the real outdoors! :)

Look at this cute cake she got! :)

Sweet Nancy was so nice to share all her fun toys.
And she has a pretty awesome swingset!
 The girls loved picking flowers.
Addi tried to give her flower to a dead bug.
And she got a little confused thinking they were the puff balls. :)
Lily had the biggest bunch!
Cake time!
That night we went to dinner at Crazy Mike's. SO good.

Addi loves their big fish tank.

Delish!

I just had to show y'all this set. I'm obsessed with all these colors! I think they are so sweet for a baby girl. Lynsey ordered this based off of her little lamb's nursery. :)
Friday, we played outside for most of the day. It was unseasonably cool, kinda. It was probably mid 80's, just perfect.
 Heaven!
Saturday, Addi and I went to Searcy to swim!

That night, Addi stayed with Papa and Lila and Josh and I went on a fancy date! We ate at Ristorante Capeo, which is in the fun Argenta district of NLR. It is authentic Italian and so good. We ordered about 5 courses and they were all delish. One of my most favorite things is cured meats, so we had to get the Hunter appetizer. It was salami, pancetta and prosciutto, along with olives, peppers and tomatoes. Paired with their delicious fresh bread it was amazing. The only thing that could have made it better would be some aged provolone. :)

Spaghetti Carbanora.

Brownie with pistachio gelato and a salty sweet wafer.

Sunday night, we had some friends over for a fish fry! Josh caught a lot of catfish Saturday so we fried that up with all the fixins.

I dropped a full glass bottle of dressing on my foot. OUCH.

This morning was spent at a nutrition appointment, and this afternoon was spent with friends. We ate lunch and shopped in the Heights for awhile until the sky fell apart. Yikes. SO MUCH RAIN.

I missed this little bear so much! I was glad to get her back. She was pretending to be a puppy this evening. Haha!

Hope y'all had a great weekend!!!
