Stress Level: Midnight

Hey everyone! This is just an attempt to catch up since I've seriously slacked in the blogging department lately. So if this is random and incoherent, just skip over and hopefully we will be back to normal soon. :)

Going back to two weekends ago.....Josh made plans for us to spend the weekend at the river house. MAN, did we need it. He and Addi went up a night early and I came down Saturday night. Being on the peaceful river, having basically no cell service and hanging out with friends and eating great food was just what I needed. I came back refreshed and wanting to go back SOON. I love it out there. Addi got to play with Grant, one of her favorite people and discovered she may or may not like fire. She likes it from a distance, but not up close. She will ask us randomly if she can play with fire. We always say no, so don't worry.
Rhen and Michael were here last week!!! This was Addi's face when she saw them pull up. She was beyond excited. Papa made a special meal for their coming home for spring break. Steaks and crab legs. OHHH it was good.

This is the diva during one of our happy hour trips. I'm pretty sure this was the day that I gave Addi a oreo sonic blast so she would stop fussing so much. We had been to the park with friends and Addi was just having such an off day. Like constant whining. I swear, she cried more that day than she had her whole life. And I couldn't figure out what was wrong! It was so stressful, and my heart goes out to those that have babies with colic. Can't imagine. Thankfully, she hasn't been like that since.
This is Addi's sweet "uncle" Rick. She was conked out in Bravo. It's so funny how we couldn't wake her up in this loud restaurant, but the slightest sound at home will wake her.
This was our St. Patrick's Day party. Josh made his corned beef again, which I didn't taste. Scott made wings that were DELISH! Addi and Lucia were the cutest playing basketball.

Mixed up pics, but this was our playgroup St. Patrick's day at Michelle's!!! Thank you Michelle for hosting. We had a blast and Addi keeps asking to go to Lily's house. :)

I felt like such a doof, but I had to document a day that my hair was fixed and makeup was on. I also wore a maxi dress and LOVED it.
Today, we went to the museum of Discovery. So much fun, but so crazy since it's spring break.

Tornado!!! There was also a tornado simulation, but I was too scared. BAHAHA.
So I think I'm all caught up and hopefully I won't get so behind again!!!

Catching Up...Again

Hi everyone! Sorry for the lack of blog posting...again. Addi and I are still coughing a little, but feeling lots better! Thanks for all the well wishes! :)

On Wednesday, we went to the zoo with our playgroup! It was such a gorgeous day to go. Temperature was perfect!

Addi enjoyed playing on this little playground maybe more than looking at the animals. Haha!

The penguins are my new favorite. It used to be the lemurs, but not anymore. These guys are so energetic and friendly! They swam right around where the kids were the whole time, jumping in the water, just really putting on a show.

To further enjoy the beautiful weather, we laid down a blanket in the backyard and played till it was time for Josh to come home.
Thursday, it stormed pretty much all day. We had planned to go to the park, but we all got the idea to have a PJ/movie playdate. It was SO much fun.
Josh even built a fort for us.
We played dressup. Addi was a"firefly princess."

We ordered pizzas, and we also had lots of snacky and sugary type goodies too. YUM.
Becky made homemade cherry limeade that was DELICIOUS!!!! She got the recipe off of Pinterest. It was really good and really easy to make too.

Such a fun and lazy day with friends!

Sickly Monday

Happy Monday night friends! Today was very very tiring. Addi hasn't felt good the past few days, and I think I got whatever she did. I've had a sore throat mixed with that just overall blah feeling all day. Throw in a cranky toddler and this girl is spent! I'm already in bed, which you know is unusually early for me, but I'm hoping a good nights rest will fix me up. :) I've also been sipping this too. It's the blimey Limey. So yum.


Today was spent doing lots of fun toddler things, like the classic gel clings.


Lunch was tomato soup and grilled cheese. :)

A Marathon Weekend

We had a GREAT weekend!!! Friday, we kicked things off with a little playdate at a local church that has a cool playground and cafe all in one. It was so fun and the kids loved it!

I got to hold this little lamb for awhile and I was in heaven! She is the sweetest!

I was seriously dragging this day so we fixed that with a little Starbucks trip. :)
It's been so nice out, we played outside for awhile until Josh got home...with pizza. YUM!!!
After dinner, I just couldn't shake the tiredness, so sweet Josh offered to take Addi on a little date and let me nap for a few hours. They went to Toys R' Us and Yogurt Mountain. They came back with this. Haha!!! Love it.

Josh made waffles Saturday morning. So good.
Today, Josh ran his first marathon. MARATHON!!!! I am so proud of him!!!
We were right by the finish line and Noah cramped up right before he finished. :(

We all went and ate at Big Orange for lunch to celebrate their accomplishment! Way to go everyone!!!

More outside play this afternoon. :)
Lots and lots of orders ready to go out. I am in beast mode trying to stay on top of things! Haha!

Our Week in Phone Pics

Hi everyone! Hope y'all have had a great week so far! We've had something almost everyday this week, and Addi is feeling a little under the weather, so it hasn't left much time for blogging. :) So how about a post of phone pics?

This one is from last week after a playdate. Addi was being SO sweet with Kinley and holding her hand. It was precious.

One night, we went walking, which turned into all of us running, which led to Addi and Dixie sitting down halfway on the way back and Josh and I had to carry them. Haha!

Tuesday, we went to Rock Creek to play and again Addi and Kinley were being just precious!!!

I wasn't feeling well today, and so that's why I look like a train hit me. Haha! I just like this picture because of Addi's face. We were just laying there watching super why and I pulled out my phone and she yanked out her paci and CHEESED. Love it.
Y'all. I got Addi her first Matilda Jane outfit a couple weeks ago. I had Shannon, from Cary Hairbows, make some matching piggie bows and they turned out PERFECT!!!!!!! Shannon is incredible to work with and so creative!!! I'm so excited for Addi to wear this. :)
On a side note, we had our house deep cleaned and our carpets cleaned today! I feel like a ton of weight has been lifted off of my shoulders. I usually deep clean our house twice a year, but this spring, I just couldn't find time to set aside a whole day (or more) to work on the house. We used Lamar Cleaning, and they couldn't have done a better job. Our house is sparkling and fresh and we are ready for spring!!! :)
