A Normal Week Please?

Well it's time for another weekend recap! Or in this case, a week/weekend recap. I'm really ready for everything to be back to normal and the sickness to LEAVE OUR HOUSE. Josh has been sick-ish the last few days. I can't believe I'm about to say this, but I'm kinda ready for spring and summer. If we aren't going to have a real winter, then let's just move along. Ya know?

First things first!!!! Josh's sister got engaged this weekend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am SO excited. They are the cutest couple ever and it's been a long time coming. Congratulations Rhen and Michael!!!! We are SO happy for you!
One morning this week, as soon as I got Addi out of bed, she started asking for donuts. Haha! I had to run by the post office anyways so we went and got some. She was a happy camper.
Girl loves her donuts.
Addi was still sickly this week. I'm pretty sure she had RSV and then possibly got a bacterial infection on top of that. Anyways, we have been cooped up all week so we busted out some crafts. Here is Addi making some Valentine's for her little friends!
Anything with stickers is like gold around here.
Sweet Belle. She gets sweeter by the day. And more crazy.
Finishing up some leftover cake from Treece's gender reveal.
We did a lot of relaxing this week. Belle loves to cuddle with Addi bear.
More cake???? Judge if you want. Haha!
Also, I have an addiction to smocked bishops. So....that needs to stop asap.
Addi and I finally got out on Friday. We went and ate lunch at Larry's pizza with some friends.
Arcade games are fun!
I tried to take a self portrait of myself for the February photo of the day, and this is what happened. haha!
Sweet Aunt Jean send Addi a Valentine in the mail. Double bonus: it was mail and it had stickers! She was a fan!

We went to work Friday afternoon. Momma has GOT to get back on schedule and my normal routine. I know sometimes you can't control things, like sickness, but if I slack off it takes me so long to get back on track and back to my daily chores and things like that.
Saturday, Addi wore a festive little Valentine's outfit. And scowled at the camera. Haha!
Going to eat lunch with Papa and Lila. Who are saints! They took Addi Saturday night and let us have a date night!
I finished this little Easter outfit up right before we left. I'm so happy with how it turned out!
Date night!
We went to the Capitol Hotel Bar. It was such a neat idea that Mia had! They had great food, great drinks and it was just a really cool atmosphere. We are going back in the spring and we are all wearing seersucker. :)

After brunch Sunday, everyone brought their dogs over for a little playdate! It was SO funny to watch these dogs just go NUTS.

Poor Bix. I had to hold her, because the bigger ones thought she was a chew toy.

Hope y'all had a great weekend!!! I'm hoping for some snow tomorrow!!!

Our Love Story

I've seen this all around the blog world lately, and thought it was too cute to pass up!
1. How long have you and your significant other been together?
Josh and I went on our first date on January 18, 2003. We've been married since November of 2006.

2. How did you meet? {What's your "love" story?}
We went to high school together and were best friends before we started dating! Our junior year of high school, Josh asked me to Jr./Sr. which is like our prom(private school thing) and I guess that was the first time I ever saw him as more than a friend.

3. If married, how long have you been married? If not, is this the guy you hope to marry?
We have been married for 5 years!!!! Whoa!!!!

4. If you are married, where did you get married at? Big or small wedding? If not, where would you like to get married? And will it be big or small?
We got married in the town we lived in, Searcy. It was kinda big I guess? 200 guests.

5. Do you have any nick-names that you call one another?
Sometimes I call Josh, LL. Don't ask. He calls me babe.

6. Name 3 things you love most about your honey.
Makes me laugh, generous, awesome dad.

7. Tell us how he proposed? Or your ideal proposal?
I actually thought he was about to break up with me!!! Haha! We had been hanging out and before I left, he gave me a hug and his heart started racing and he said, "will you promise to say yes to the next question?" Why on earth I thought he was about to break up with me, I'll never know, BUT he got down on one knee and popped the question!! I was overjoyed.

8. Is he a flowers and teddy bear kind of guy for v-day, or strawberries, champagne, and rose petals?
Definitely flowers and teddy bear. He's had flowers delivered almost every year and he usually gets Addi a little bear. :)

9. Are you a sunset dinner on the beach kind of girl, or pop a movie in and relax on the couch?
Hmmm...some nights I like to just veg out and relax. But a sunset dinner on the beach sounds amazing!!!

10. Tell us one thing you'd like to do with your significant one day. If you could do anything? Go anywhere?
I would LOVE to go back to NYC. We had so much fun. Or Italy.

11. Tell us what you plan on doing on this Valentine's Day.
Our Valentine's tradition is for me to make a gourmet meal. I love cooking!

12. Are you asking for anything this Valentine's day?
Josh actually asked me today what I wanted and I couldn't think of anything!

13. Give us one piece of advice of keeping a relationship strong and full of love.
Work on your relationship everyday. Laugh. Marry your best friend.

14. Show us a picture of what love means to you.

And some pics of us for fun. :)

We look like babies here! This was when we went to visit my dad when he lived in Okinawa.
Not an oldie. Haha! But I love this picture.
This was us in high school!!!!!!!! Going on an overnight trip to his grandparents. We were just friends back then and Josh was the only guy my dad trusted enough to let his daughter go on an overnight trip with!
History club trip in high school.
Happy early Valentine's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Superbowl and A Gender Reveal Party

Thanks everyone for the concern and well wishes for Addi getting better! She is feeling much better now! We had a fun weekend! The Superbowl was Sunday and we went to Josh's dad's house for a party over there. I can't even begin to describe the quantity and quality of the food that was there, and I'm kicking myself for not taking any pictures! You'll just have to take my word for it. It was GOOD. :)

We started our morning off with donuts. Josh went to go get them and found out Shipley's was out. :( When he walked in empty handed, Addi was SO disappointed, he went right back out and went to Krispy Kreme. Haha. We didn't even know she liked donuts that much.
I'm so glad that Annalise came to the party! Addi loved having a playmate!
The girls danced and watched Tangled a few times. ;)
Glad she's feeling better.
The girls LOVED Ashton!

It's still been unseasonably mild here, so we got out and played some yesterday.
Addi loved it. :)

Last night, we went to a gender reveal party for Treece and Noah! Addi and Landon were cracking us up!

The food was delish! Evan approves!
It's a.................
Cut the cake already!!!
Best reaction ever!!!!!!!

It's a GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Addi had a little meltdown because she couldn't eat take the big cake and eat from that. Sigh.
Yay for girls!!!!!!!
Her name is going to be Noah Elizabeth. And they are calling her Eliza. So perfect and lovely.

Hope y'all had a great weekend!

Sickies

Hi everyone! It's been another crazy week around here. When I last posted, I said that I had pretty much gotten rid of my "cold." Well, I was fine for about a day and then it came back with a vengeance. Josh made sure I got plenty of rest and it went away for good after a few days. Well then Addi got sick. I'm pretty sure she had what I did, but hers is hanging around for longer. This is horrible to say, and it does make me really sad and worried when she is sick, but the past few days have been so NICE. She gets super cuddly when she's sick and just wants to be held and loved on and I miss that! Addi is so busy lately I don't get to just sit and hold her, so I've been soaking up laying around and loving on her. We took an epic nap yesterday and I can't remember the last time she has slept with me and not kicked me off the bed! Haha! Anyways, little bear is on the mend. She woke up early this morning with no fever and she's getting her energy back. We've been cooped up all week so I'm hoping to get out soon! :)

Here are some phone pictures I took this past week.

Random, but I wanted to share this. I hate regular oatmeal. It makes me want to throw up. I tried steel cut oats and loved it! It's a different texture and taste I think. Here is the recipe I used.
I feel like we've been robbed of a proper winter, but I have to admit, it's been nice being able to play outside in February!
Addi learned "skidamarink" and it's so cute. I've got a video I need to post.
Day 2 of little bear being sick. Taking a nap in momma's bed.
Day 3. Bless her heart.

My friend Hillary was talking about this microwave brownie that you make in a mug, and of course I had to try it. It's so easy and SO good. Here is the link!
Day 4. Belle was pretty worried about Addi. She missed her friend running around with her!
Hope y'all had a great week and a fabulous weekend!!!
