Oh Christmas!

So yesterday, me and my sweet little pumpkin head were reunited. And it was good. Addi was excited to see me so that made me glad that she hadn't forgotten about me! I'm telling ya, a lot of things go through my head these days. Anyways, so I thought I would win her over even more by giving her the forbidden fruit...blueberries. For some reason, blueberries give Addi HORRIBLE diaper rash. Now, before you think I'm a horrible mom, wait just a second. Blueberries happen to be Addi's most favorite fruit EVER. She loves these things. So, as a preemptive strike, I have started putting a heavy duty layer of diaper rash cream in hopes that will keep the rash away. So far it has worked! Yay blueberries!

Also, Addi is getting her molars...I think. I actually had to ask someone where molars were, so who knows, but she is for sure teething! Evidence? Waking up at midnight and not going back to bed till 2 or later. I am worn out. I also thought it would be a good idea to go ahead and finish ALL of our Christmas shopping today. Why? No clue. But, incredibly glad to be done! Here is Addi's OOTD (outfit of the day). Get used to this because she will be wearing a different Christmas outfit everyday from here on out.

It's got a sweet little snowman on the bottom of it.

And pretty little lacey sleeves.

This is what Addi did when I first tried to take a picture of her outfit.

So after our epic shopping journey, which I have to add Addi did great on, we came back home for naps! Well, for Addi. I swept off our front porch so I could take a picture to show y'all! Here it is!!!

Yes, we need to paint it and our yard needs to be raked DESPERATELY! But, I think it looks great for being put up in a day by three dudes who are handy with some power tools.

After her nap, Addi got a little visitor by the name of Rylan! Rylan's momma needed to go to a lunch thing so we got to play! I'm sad we didn't get to keep snuggly Max too, but maybe next time!

Rylan really likes Buzz. He told me several times. :)

Addi really likes Rylan.

Poor Rylan. After Addi calmed down a little, and got used to the fact that there was a boy in the house, they played together just fine. We all had a little afternoon snack of chocolate chip cookies too! Hope that's okay Sara! Haha!

Oh and Addi liked Rylan so much, she took 12 steps in a row! That's right! She walked to something! You don't know how excited I was! I know she can walk, but I'm just ready for her to make the transition of going from crawling to full time walking.

Tonight for dinner, we tried something new. We went to Lilly's DimSum Then Some. It was so good! The food was presented beautifully and we will be back soon. There were several things that we wanted to try! Addi was a toot all through dinner, but I mean what toddler will sit through a whole dinner quiet and still? Haha!

Hope y'all had a great day!

Weekend Update!

Don't forget to enter the CSN stores giveaway!

This weekend was...interesting to say the least. We started out having a lot to do on Saturday, but those plans got changed and we found ourselves having NO PLANS that day. We slept in late since Addi went to bed at midnight, then got up and went to Milford Track! Oh how we missed this place! We got Addi a fruit cup again and she searched through it to find all the blueberries, then she was done. Haha! After lunch, me and Addi did some Christmas shopping and then came home to nap. It was glorious.

Such a tired little bear!

We went out with some friends that night to eat dinner, and we dropped Addi off at one of Josh's co-worker's house beforehand so she could play over there and we wouldn't have to worry about entertaining her in the restaurant. For some reason (probably teething) Addi did not do so well over at Nandini's house! They said she cried for awhile, but they finally got her distracted with an empty water bottle. Haha! They said she would take off the top, pretend to take a drink, then put the cap back on. Hilarious. When we got back home, Addi got in her pj's and spent some time talking with Dad on the floor.

That night, Addi slept fine, but she woke up at 5:30. We had Josh's family coming over at 7:30 to build a deck on our front porch, so I knew it was going to be a LONG day. We have to have a deck, because we re-financed our house and the appraisal guy said that it was a safety hazard to not have a deck in case someone falls off. So...good thing Josh's dad and grandpa are handy when it comes to building stuff! Anyways, so Addi was a toot all day and was just cranky from being up so early and not being able to sleep because of the power tools. They didn't get finished till close to 8:30 that night. The deck looks great though! We were really worried it was going to make the house look hideous, but it is actually really cute! All we have to do now is paint it!

So on Monday morning, me and Josh woke up incredibly nauseous. Josh was a lot worse than me, because I don't think he was fully over his stomach thing from last week. I tried to tough it out, but every time I would move I felt like I had to go throw up. It was awful. Jeanette came and got Addi and me and Josh spent the rest of the day doped up on Phenergan. We are feeling much better today, just really weak. I think Addi is going to stay over there another night just so we can rest some more and fully recover!

Hope y'all had a great weekend!!!

It's Almost Friday?

Hey everyone! Where in the world has this week gone? The past few days have just been a blur! Josh has been sick since Monday with a stomach virus and thankfully, me and Addi haven't gotten it so far. Praying and fingers crossed we won't get it at all!

So today, we went to Rock Creek with our fabulous play group! We also broke out our first of many Christmas outfits! This made me so happy for Addi to wear this today. I bought this last year in Dillard's on clearance. Gotta love that!

Addi had so much fun climbing up and sliding down. It was sorta scary at first, but she never fell!

I love how vintage-y this picture looks. My camera was on a weird setting so I'm not sure how I took this.

Snack break! Addi kept drinking out of other kid's sippy cups. I guess when your 14 months, everything is yours right? :)

I really love this pic even if it's really unflattering!

After playing there, we headed to our mecca...Chick-fil-a!!! Addi did such a good job and ate almost all of her nuggets and almost all of her fruit cup! I was so proud. We decided to leave after eating because someone needed a nap pretty bad. Haha! Once sister girl woke up, it was time to work. We got several packages today from Black Friday online shopping (yessss) and Addi had a blast playing in the boxes.

If you were wondering how Dixie is, she is completely back to normal. We were getting pretty worried about her, but she is back to her old self which makes us very happy.

I'm also proud to say, all of our Christmas decorations are up!!! Well, except for the outside, but hopefully we'll be able to do that on Sunday. Addi has LOVED the tree in our living room and keeps trying to touch all the ornaments. We've only had one shatter so far, so that's good I guess?

Hope y'all have had a great day!!! Be sure to enter the CSN stores giveaway for your chance to win a $35 gift card! Just in time for the holidays! Oh! And I totally forgot to mention this, but how do y'all like my new blog look? Leslie at Sweetie Baby's did it and I love it!!!
