Addi's trip to the nutrition center!

Today Addi went to ACH to the nutrition center for her initial visit. We signed her up for a research study that investigates growth and metabolism in breastfed, formula, and soy fed babies. It's really cool, they did a body scan, a body composition and brain scan on her today. She did so great through all of them even though it was kinda weird to her! All the ladies were so impressed with how easy-going she was. This pic is of Addi in the "peapod." It measures body composition.
Next Tuesday say a prayer for us, we are going to the doctor for Addi's two month shots. :( I'm very nervous!

Family Pictures!

I'm working on a project for Christmas and thought I would share this sweet pic!

Success!!

Josh got a deer this weekend!!! It was a 6 point buck, we are very thankful! Addi had a great time at the cabin, she enjoyed looking at all the camo and orange. She was very fascinated by all the orange things in the room. We had a wonderful time with everyone and look forward to going again at Christmas!

7 weeks

Yesterday Addi turned 7 weeks old! I can't believe how time is flying. She is smiling so much now, it's soo sweet! She is still pretty inconsistent about sleeping at night. Some nights she is really good and sleeps 5-6 hours, some nights she only sleeps for 3 hours at a time. We are really lucky though, she still doesn't cry hardly at all! Dixie has really warmed up to her, I think they will be best buds when Addi gets a little older. The other day Addi grabbed a handful of Dixie's fur and just held on, I was worried what Dixie would do, but she just looked at me like please make it stop! Ha ha poor Dixie. We are headed to Lewisville this weekend for the opening of deer season! Hopefully everyone will have some luck!

Addi's first trip to the zoo!

So today Addi went to the zoo for the very first time! We met up with our friends Whitney and Andrew and their daughter Eden. It was so much fun! Addi slept through the whole thing! Bless her heart she was pretty tired. She is 6 weeks old today! I can't believe how time is flying! This is the only picture I caught her awake!

Addi-1 month

So Addison is now one month old! I can't believe how time has flown. Before we know it she will be walking and talking! At her 1 month appointment she was 10 lbs 4 oz, so she has put on 3 whole pounds since birth! She is also 21 1/2 inches which puts her in the 75th percentile for height and weight so she is a growing healthy little girl. We are very blessed! She is such a good baby, we haven't really heard her cry yet. She lets us know when she's hungry and she does get fussy sometimes, but her "crying" lasts about 5 seconds. She loves to eat, as evident by her weight gain, ha ha. She is already holding her head up by herself and she is becoming more alert and curious about what is around her. She smiled for the first time a couple of days ago, it was so sweet! She is also starting to sleep more through the night! For the past four nights she has slept almost 6 hours straight, which is WONDERFUL!!! She still takes several naps during the day too. She is just awesome!

Addison Danielle

Addison was born on September 24, 2009 at 8:55 p.m. She weighed 7lbs. 4oz. and is 20 inches long! I went into labor with her that morning at about 11:30, my contractions just started really strong and were about 2-3 minutes apart. At 1:30, Josh came and got me and we went to the hospital. The pain really wasn't THAT bad at this point, definitley bearable. When we got to L&D the nurses checked me in and decided I was for sure in labor, so they called my doctor. I wanted an epidural so they drew labs and said it would take about an hour for them to give it to me. I was dilated to a 3 at this point. I decided to go ahead and get something for my IV since the contractions were getting worse, it helped alot! I felt more relaxed after that. Then my doctor came in and broke my water which sped things up alot! I ended up being dilated to a 7 before I got the epidural, for about 30 minutes it was pretty bad pain! But, after the epidural I felt nothing and everything was great! I started to progress faster and the nurse decided it was time for me to push. I pushed for about 30 minutes and there she was! It was such a great experience, we had lots of friends and family in the waiting room cheering me on and waiting to meet Addison. She is the most beautiful and perfect baby!
