Weekend Update

Hey everyone! Hope y'all had a great weekend! We sure did! Since I haven't blogged in awhile, I'll catch up on our week. :)

On Thursday, we went to the park since it was GORGEOUS!!! This was the only picture I got before my battery died, but I promise Addi had fun. Haha! She looks so serious swinging here.

Friday, we went to Jump Zone! It was the busiest we've ever seen it, but it did die down soon after we got there.
Addi always has a blast there. :)

Saturday, we went to Milford Track for lunch with some friends, and afterwards we took Addi to go look at the swans and I took pictures of her new outfit! :) I love the owls.

Random Thoughts

I've got a lot of thoughts lately that have no rhyme or reason, so I thought I would just do a post of all of them together so you could see how crazy I am. ;)

• Belle's favorite thing right now is to bring in a stick from outside and shred it on our living room rug. Don't worry Belle, I love extra chores. ;)
• Addi is starting to freak us out sometimes with what she remembers or knows.
• Speaking of shred, I've got to get in gear!!! I have let everything slide lately, because of either sickness or busyness, which is not an excuse, but I really need to get to working since it looks like spring is just around the corner.
• I'm so excited for Rhen's wedding. Like, stalking her Pinterest wedding board on a daily basis. She is so creative and stylish, it's just going to be beautiful.
• Did I tell you the week after her wedding is Christmas, and then we leave the week after that for New York? So fun and SO busy!!! :)
• Always Sunny is probably one of my fav shows right now. Don't judge me.
• Twister was on tonight and I wanted to watch it SOOO bad, but it was on Encore, which we don't get. :(
• Is anyone freaked out about tornado season this year???
• On Monday, Jeanette did my hair, I went and got a manicure AND my brows threaded. I feel like a new woman!!!
• Except, I've been eating Reese's peanut butter eggs by the truckload and consequently wearing stretchy pants ALOT lately. Yikes.
• I ordered Crazy Love last night and I'm so excited to read it, yet totally terrified.
• I really want to rock the maxi dress this summer, but since I'm shorter than short, I'm not sure it will work. I ordered one already, so we'll see how that goes. Haha!
• During Addi's nap tomorrow, I really want to sit and watch youtube videos on how to do the naked palette (which I bought Sunday with Josh's sephora exchange) and how to fix medium length hair in new cool ways.
• And eat peanut butter eggs.
• Yikes

Weekend Recap...on Tuesday

No judgies that I'm doing a weekend post on Tuesday! :) We had a blast this weekend! On Friday, Addi and I went to a Valentine's Day party for one of her sweet friends, Amelia. Amelia's mom, Jill, is on bedrest, yes BEDREST, and she threw the most amazing party ever. I'm serious, there were so many details that made the party just so so cute. She had personalized each child's place setting with these cute little mailboxes, a heart shaped sign on their chair, everything was just beautiful! And did I mention she is on bedrest?! She's my hero. :)

Addi thought it was the best party food also. Chick fil a nuggets, and plenty of sweets. This girl was in heaven! Oh! And Jill had crafts for the kids to do also. We made hair barrettes and cute heart magnets.

When we got home, Addi helped me by modeling some of my spring clothes! She was actually pretty excited about it and did a great job! We took a little break to read some books in between outfits.
Friday night, our friends Treece and Noah came over for a game night! Josh went and got Mexican food (my current fav is 2 cheese enchiladas with rice and beans...YUM.) and after Addi went to bed, we played Settlers of Catan. NERDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! haha! But seriously, I thought I was going to hate this game, but I love it!!

Saturday, we went to a fun birthday party for sweet Andrew!!!

Saturday night, Josh made us Mexican food ( I know and we had Taco Bueno for lunch) and Carson and Keith came and played another round of Settlers of Catan. Haha!

Sweet Little Friends

Yesterday, Addi had some friends over for a little playdate. Yes, this has been the week of home playdates! Haha! We usually don't do that many in one week, but this was just an odd week. Anyways, Addi pretty much had the best time of her life! No kidding. And she took a great nap which made this momma really happy! :)

Wednesday Fun

This will be short and sweet since I didn't take many pictures today.

Today we went to a playdate at Becky's house! It was our Valentine playdate and the kids had so much fun. Addi loves any holiday that involves cupcakes. :)

Tonight, Belle got stickered by Addi. Such a good sport!
We are still having fun with the Valentine balloons. Addi loves to let them go and then watch me jump to get them.

Valentine's Day 2012

Happy Valentine's Day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We had such a fun day! Josh did good this year. He got me a bag full of Sephora goodies and flowers!!!

Belle and Dixie got rawhides and some squeaky tennis balls. They also feasted on our leftover short ribs. They were happy pups.
First course...salad. So unassuming, but delish! I made homemade ranch and I think that made it.
Treece brought this really yummy punch.
OH MY. Y'all have GOT to try these potatoes. Of course I got the recipe on Pinterest.
Shortribs. I die. Next time we make these, I'm going to add more Asian flavors.
We also had Pioneer woman rosemary rolls, roasted asparagus and green bean bundles.
As requested by Josh, butterfinger pie for dessert. :)
